A Palestinian director of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land has been arrested by the Israeli army after masked settlers attacked his house.
According to five Jewish American activists who witnessed the attack, Hamdan Ballal, one of the four directors of the the film that documented the destruction of villages in the West Bank, was surrounded and attacked by a group of about 15 armed settlers in Susya in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron.

They started throwing stones towards Palestinians and destroyed a water tank near Hamdans house, said Joseph, of the activists from the Center for Jewish Nonviolence, who asked not to use his full name for security reasons.
The witnesses said that a group of soldiers arrived at the scene alongside other settlers dressed in military uniform, who chased Hamdan to his house and handed him over to the military.
The settlers destroyed his car with stones and slashed one of the tyres, another witness, Raviv, told the Guardian. All the windows and windshields were broken.

Ballal was injured by the settlers and taken by the Israeli army.

The Gaza protestors were not significant enough to listen to, but somehow capable of deciding the election.

There have been so many snide threads on here, blaming those who are pro-Palestine for Trump. As if he received no votes from any other demographic acting against its own interests. For a while, the sheer horror felt across the board for the catastrophe in Gaza kept the plausible deniability commentary at bay.

That has not been the case since the election.

In the setting, sort of (the whole "cyberpunk has a huge Japanese influence" is also relevant in the distinction). However, when playing there are some pretty huge differences. The big one that comes to mind is netrunning in Cyberpunk, which kind of is both an amazing and terrible idea at the same time as it kind of completely breaks the game. It's amazing in all respects, but the idea of having a game mode that there is a good chance every other person in your group is going to not be a part of is a problem. Thus the "soft" solution has always been that everyone has to be a netrunner, making the complexity of the classes tank, or no one is, which gets rid of players doing arguably the most interesting mechanic that Cyberpunk has.

I just kind of change things so Deckers can sort of overwatch the party. A good example would be fastfood fight a starter run for shadowrun. Theres lots of stuff to "hack" if they can with fun results. Like turning a pickle choper into a weapon and bubbling a deepfryer.

I could be wrong but isn't the big difference that Shadowrun has fantasy races + magic and Cyberpunk is, well, straight cyberpunk?

Basically, both are in versions of our world tho with more adult real life problems. The cyber tech in CyberPunk makes more sense like cyber limbs. Shadowrun has some crazy stuff like mouth guns. The mix of magic and paranormal in ShadowRun is a win for me.

I dont know if theres any tabletop rpg fans here, but I guess ill try. I myself like shadowRun more. Fun lingo, great world building and the books have fiction parts with posts like there online. Tho CyberPunk 2020 has good lore too and the rules run better. Any thoughts?

Edit: oops forgot 2020 in CyberPunk 2020's title.
