I feel like the decision on CE was made by a single person, possibly DToast, to meet some externally imposed metric. It was not thought out as evidenced by the inconsistent messages that followed the announcement, and the TOU not being updated to match it. It also wasnt discussed among the team and likely wasnt communicated well as multiple posts by some moderators questioning or joking about it suggest. It now also seems like there are inconsistent rules being applied to the community. What happened today with this account and the moderation posted in here (essentially moderated because I feel like it) is really not leaving a good impression of whats to come. For someone that is supposed to help the community of this site, it seems like a good time to step up and do more. Even if it isnt exactly what the community wants, just be transparent about whats going on. Update the TOU and use them fairly. Tell us whats going on. Be transparent. I feel like DToast is gonna end up getting shitcanned because of all the gross incompetence displayed here this year.
