The benefits are scenery, being able to toss your compost in the woods, and quieter days. Nights are a bit more complicated the average country night is noisier but it's a more ambient noise than the sudden noise a city can produce if people are arguing outside your window. The are many drawbacks to country living. The first is no delivery (though doordash and company may have solved this for suburban country. The second no stores within walking distance, though my dad had a Mennonite store open up but that's the exception not the rule. The third is no big places for children or adults to hang out at it in most rural areas. I like living in a small city. You don't take big cities for granted but you still have plenty of places to be able to go to even if they are basic such as bowling alleys, movie theaters and restaurants. I do enjoy visiting and driving through country a great deal but it's not where I want to live. --- Beware the fanatic!
