But I don't think you need hindsight to realize that the first one should have been called "Dawn". Surely they always intended for it to get a sequel and by the time the screenplay was finalized, they should have realized that "Dawn" would have been a more fitting title. --- Fammy fam |

Most American cartoons targeted towards adults are comedies (South Park, Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Rick & Morty, etc), so there's less of a need to make them look good. As long as they're considered funny, they'll be successful. --- Fammy fam |

| Scotty_Rogers 05/19/24 5:08:34 AM #42 | My father is a fairly big smoker and he's nearly 70. I'm expecting him to come down with something in the not-so-distant future. Shame, but nothing I can really do about it. If he wants to smoke himself to death, that's his decision at the end of the day.
My mom seems to live a healthier lifestyle, but I'm not too optimistic about her. I think with all the stress I've given her over the years, it's almost a miracle that she hasn't had a stroke or anything yet. The least I can do is stop worrying her. I guess one thing I've learned is that even if you don't get along with your family or relatives, you really shouldn't make them worry. Regret is a bitch. Life's random and the future is unknown, but at least make sure you have the satisfaction of knowing you didn't actively make their lives more difficult than they needed to be. --- Fammy fam |

I think I can sort of relate because my elderly grandma seems to just barely be hanging on these days. She's so old that it's easier to come to terms with the fact she eventually has to pass away, but it's still hard seeing her. If it were my mother in her place, it'd be even harder.

There was also better before then, within that series of movies. Begins is the better film overall, despite Ledgers performance being amazing. Begins wasn't better lol. Not enough Batman and Katie Holmes is awful (Rachel Dawes is a terrible character in general, though. They didn't need to invent a new love interest for Batman in these movies). Ledger is really the only person who made Dark Knight a remotely noteworthy film, even though his performance was slightly overrated. I don't think his performance would have been quite as acclaimed if not for his death preceding the film's release. Begins 5/10 Dark Knight 6/10 Rises 5/10 --- Fammy fam |

It's not like "Super Sonic" needed a different name to avoid comparisons to Super Saiyan; just changing the color from yellow to anything else would have been enough, but the less similarities to Super Saiyan, the better.

The 20/20 Experience could've been alright if you took the good tracks from each one and made a single album from it, Just the first album was fine. It was the best selling album of the year and got decent reviews. The second one might have been better off as an EP with only a few tracks, but it was JT's second no.1 album that year and sold over a million copies, so it's not like it was a flop. --- Fammy fam |

Idk, ol "Puff Daddy" had a pretty huge skyrocket after Biggie passed. A little suspect to me, is all. Bad Boy Records did benefit greatly from the interest gained from Biggie's passing with songs like "I'll Be Missing You" but it's not like the label (and by extension Diddy) wasn't already big before Biggie himself fanned the flames by mocking Tupac's death live on air in LA a few days before he died, too. The most you can do is speculate that Diddy purposefully put Biggie out there for someone to come kill him as part of his plan to profit from his death. --- Fammy fam |
