In terms of economics Biden is definitely on the right. The US sort of rolls everything else into right/left even though those really only apply to economics. So Biden isn't socially conservative, but he is right-wing economically. In Eastern Europe there are actually a lot of far left socially conservative parties. I think a lot of US people struggle understanding that not everything maps on to their own political situation.

I hear this sometimes but where is the proof? Look at Latin America, look at Africa, look at Asia, look at Central and Eastern Europe. A lot of conservatism and right wing leadership. It is mainly vs Western and Northern Europe that the US looks skewed. And even Western Europe is showing cracks.
