Yes he's the clear better option in every other regard. That's 100% true and you can scream that at the top of your lungs and I won't argue against that shit. But the end result of Palestine will be the same regardless of who you vote for if things keep going as they are. Which it will. I think some "spoiler-ish" moments in media are so ingrained in pop culture that they really shouldn't be considered spoilers. DBZ, Star Wars, LotR, etc are filled with these moments.

Tbf it's not really 2v2. Kameos are basically just a combo extender for the most part. Launch was plagued by the same set ups tho I'm not sure if it's more varied now. Imo the kameos are just boring and the timing for them don't feel natural at all.

I wish the game had a proper 2v2 mode like 9 did. That was peak MK with friends. Instead we have kameos and that garbage board game. At least 11 had the co-op towers which weren't the greatest but it was a fun community thing.

Yeah, Atlanta. Work has been good for me this year so far, which is wild because it seems like the moment you get your foot in (and, obviously, do good work and network with people) you'll find work pretty consistently.
Before this, I've been working at Floyd County Productions for most of last year or so (which is based more on animation, or in my case, a glorified writing PA). Between some of the people I've met there, and the contacts I've met through the Trilith Studios via the Georgia Film Academy, I've been finding myself being reached out to do all sorts of work on all kinds of projects. Granted, most of it has been smaller production stuff and I've mainly been in lower positions, but I'm taking experience wherever I can find it!

My next goal is to try to weasel my way into WB's "Genesis" production (Superman) through this Peacemaker gig. There's some overlap here between the two at the same studio, but Genesis is itself is being shot on-location in a whole different city. I'm probably a bit too late for that beause they're suppose to be starting the shoot for that about now or very soon.

That's good to hear! Good luck on your future endeavors man. It's hard but it's the most fulfilling way I've ever made a living.

It's funny how accurate this is. I can think of so many instances of camera people being high-strung or going at it with someone else because of something not going right in a shot.
Actually, a few times now, I've been disregarded or outright ignored when trying to talk to someone on a camera crew in-between shots because they're so focused on what they need to be doing. I've learned not to take it personally though because I see how much they have to deal with.
But once a shoot day is over, they're usually way more upbeat and are the first ones trying to get everyone else to go hang out a bar or something lmao

All of that is true and it's never personal unless you're the one making my life hell lol grips are usually my favorite people if I'm on cam team. Mfs have an apple box ready for my ass before the first take.

But really no one on set knows what bs camera team goes through. We're basically the children of the director and the DP and depending on their synergy that can go either way. You have to be really good at controlling your emotions if you want to be part of camera lol but yes, if the teams getting drinks after we'll be getting shitty for sure.

You're ATL based? I'm in a much smaller market (Vegas) but we're planning a move within the next 2 years for either ATL, LA, or Chicago. Other than this gig has work been steady for you this year?

Absolutely. G&E is a blast. It keeps you busy on set, the people tend to be fun to hangout with during and after work, and the pay is a nice bonus most of the time. And yeah, it's truethe best way to becoming a good DP is having a good understanding of the Grip and Electrics side of things and not just the camera. Maybe I'd like to try my hand at DP work one day, I don't entirely know yet. The ones that I've worked around have just been so dag good at their jobs that it makes me a bit intimidated to be in such a position myself lol

Yep there's a huge influx of videographers that want to become DPs rn but are flailing because they don't have a grasp on lighting. I've always learned that anyone can frame a shot (not to be diminutive of framing, it's just true) but lighting is a unique skill. And you'll learn the most in lighting as G&E.

Grips are usually the chillest people on set. Camera team is usually stressed and secretly upset at someone who is making their life hell lol

G&E is the best path to DP nowadays. But lateral moves to camera team from G&E happen all the time. I work 1st AC, cam op, and key grip (in that order usually) mostly if I'm not DP on a project. Whatever is needed and is willing to pay lol

Tbh sounds like an incredibly awful system if alterations to an order only go to the delivery person and not the restaurant that's responsible for making the food lol just another way these companies put the bulk of the blame on gig workers.

Idk man there was like basic shit missing from the launch. Bookmarking combos in training for instance and a bunch of QOL stuff they had in the other games.

The game isn't even good at being a microtransaction racket like 11. It feels like they dropped the ball everywhere

9 through 11 weren't perfect games by any means (tho 9 is really close to a perfect MK imo) but they at least felt like fully realized games at launch. Even if 10 and 11 took forever to get to a decently playable state. 1 is like a quarter of a game compared to those three and the combat just doesn't feel good. How tf did they mess up so bad?
