He was dumb enough to throw away an election by deciding medical advice was bad when all he had to do was take their ideas and get a slam dunk win with them. And that is not even among the dumbest things he has done.

Games have in the past been targeted as "it isn't the fault of guns!" stuff. And all it takes is for him to do some search about "r video games woke?" and he'll see a bunch of articles from far right media saying yes, and will decide then and there to go the China route with them.

So if he wins, I hope you enjoy not being allowed to play more than an hour a day. But don't worry, you can use that extra time to work more hours at your job that needs 80 hours a week to not be in debt anyway.

Minecraft is... well, trying to make "Minecraft: the series" is probably not going to end well.

Most of the good minecraft series are players just faffing about until their friends build them some settings and introduce a basic story with an evil voldemort lookalike, and they then go on an adventure while continuing to dig diggy holes, and so forth. And then just do a bunch of modded series where they are just messing around, occasionally launching nuclear missiles at each other, etc.

I may or may not be referring to one specific group with that synopsis.

On a side note, could you imagine if they tried to base a series off of 2b2t?

Edit: I guess what I am saying is that Minecraft isn't a story, and no the credits don't count. It is a medium to make your own story, alone or with friends, whether that story be "So I am going to make a cool base and fill it with treasure" or "lets work together and have someone sorta be like a DM and set up something for us, or just play a dedicated adventure map with its own story, etc."

Its sort of the same thing as D&D, except that D&D has a LOT of lore and established places and characters that you can use to make a story from. Minecraft has, well, zombies and old ruins? Also a dragon that is just minding its own business in another dimension?

So yeah, giving media makers a franchise that is THIS open and yet, lacking of lore, can either end very badly, or actually do quite well with it. Or anywhere in between.

There is no "manual off button" for dealing with topsoil erosion, eventual energy shortages, and about a dozen other things either, aside from reducing the human population to less than 10% of what it currently is.

There is no nice way to do this. So we won't. Manually at least. Overshoot is a thing that doesn't care what we want though.

AI will never get advanced enough to actually go Terminator on us before then. The best we can hope for is AI that can design new technologies based on iterative simulation or something, and the worst we can fear is AI being used to just do what it does now but worse (read: misinformation and algorithms for controlling what people think with some job stealing thrown in).

In the weird timeline where AI did get advanced enough to think on its own before everything goes down, then it would actually try to save civilization because it kinda NEEDS humans to actually run and maintain all its power infrastructure and all the logistics for it (as well as what is needed for the humans to survive so they can KEEP doing that) among other things.

Migratory species by their very nature need to be more adaptable in many ways. Otherwise the slightest change would kill them all. Perhaps this extends to time of year and time of day for bird calls?

Personally, I don't think they actually look that great. They do generally taste pretty good, usually.

Bug Fables is a game similar to Paper Mario 64.

One of the strategies involves the use of the equivalent to a badge that increases your damage but also makes you poisoned. Or maybe it was a badge that just boosted attack power while poisoned, and there was another that did something else but made you start battle poisoned. I forget, but either way, it was a way to get a lot of attack power.

Being a farmer in the 40k universe is unironically fairly pleasant compared to, well, the stuff all the lore is about.

Just make sure the electrical doodads are properly installed in the head of all your Grox, in the case you are a rancher.

Humans are very good at not trying to stop bad things from happening. We call the ones that at least try "heroes" a lot of the time. That guy who decided to break protocol and NOT launch his submarine's nuclear missiles in a situation where protocol said he should. The people who TRIED to stop WW1 from happening. They tried. The latter were unsuccessful, but you are here because the former tried to stop a bad thing... and had the sole power to do so, and was right about it.

As for the rest of humanity aside from the occasional guys who actually try? Well, some of them settle for "make it just a little better" and help clean up parks here and there. Nothing wrong with that of course.

But yeah, people pretty much didn't try to stop the Weimer Republic from turning into what it did until, and even when it was too late. Plenty of people did the right and in that time and place, heroic thing of protecting people who would otherwise have been taken away. But no one actually stood up. It took half the then-modern world ganging up on them to even half-fix things, and even then they waited for several nations to fall before they actually took it seriously.

fanFICTION isn't fiction if it's based on current events. Especially considering a lot of the people he saw in Hell probably actually, frankly speaking, ended up in Hell according to the sins they committed

I could, if I wanted to, write a harry potter fanfiction with someone that is totally Donald Trump so as to be a commentary about him, but with the character not actually literally him. It would probably be bad since I have no writing experience, but I COULD write that. Someone else who knows how to write COULD write that, and for all I know there are harry potter fanfictions that have a trump-alike in them, or even Trump himself. Or if you swing that way, you could write Biden into a Harry Potter fanfiction if you wanted. Or hell, Twilight or My Little Pony or something.

The mere fact that it is POSSIBLE for a fiction, fan or otherwise, to be a commentary on current events already ruined the argument. You don't need to defend it anymore.

I don't delete posts ever. That one got marked and had dumb respond from the mods as usual. I can post the proof if you want. I don't care about being modded again.

There is a windows tool called "Snipping Tool." If you don't have windows I am sure easy alternatives exist too.

What I am saying is, you didn't need to say this, you just need to snip the small part of the screen with the moderation in question if someone is actually making a fuss for some reason (and you care enough to respond).

But yes, mods can be... inconsistent. Especially recently, as the only two moderations I have had the past 5 years or so were... last month.
