wow, Kaguya, really? never had any interest in watching it, thought it was more "rom" than "com". Though I do know a lot of people like it. I will strongly consider picking it up!

I know I missed the boat on watching it when it was airing, I remember it being hyped in these topics long before the anime started airing! I didn't watch it because well, I was under the impression it'd be dealing a lot with like, mortality and aging and passage of time, and I tend to avoid any media with those themes. Though now I'm under the impression that's moreso early on before it settles into typical fantasy fare? But I imagine some aspects of that will be a constant throughline in the series. But yes it is going to be watched soon, have no fear!!

it's been a tough start for Contest XXV newcomers, and I'm not sure the bloodshed is over yet.

pretty typical isn't it? somebody focuses on bringing in a new character one year and then they move on to a diff one the following year... sounds like another future stats idea I'll add to my list, can't do it tonight though.

One fun fact is, of the XXV new entrants who were eliminated outside of boots, the first four were Mog OO, Josef, Fran and Zenos in 68th, 65th, 63rd and 62nd place respectively. Montblanc the odd one out so far (edit: I already forgot about Ifrit, oh dear)

Bahamut would be next up having finished 61st...

Umbral Flames (Eos): reworked; Omega Attack now fires a slow shot that occasionally creates damage blasts and also copies your Specials

what the fuck that isn't just a reworking, that is completely wiping out what it used to be before, my favourite flames aspect & overall 2nd favourite aspect. I know the flames are considered bottom tier weapon but come on, that is super shitty... why not save that "reworking" for when the weapons' 4th aspects get released?

Momus was broken before so not surprised to see it nerfed but again, not even nerfed, just completely gone.

Lots of good stuff in the update but man if Eos and Momus were too good you could at least keep them but just nerf them... will have to learn the Aspect of Moros on the flames next time I play, i guess. Glad they haven't touched Aspect of Charon either (...yet?)

Ohhh, I've played Xenosage 1 two or three times, and each time I stall out during Xenosaga 2 and quit. The sequel is just an incredibly big letdown to the first game. However, I heard Xenosaga 3 was really good and I actually own the game, but have never played it because I couldn't ever get past 2.

yeah would def recommend watching the episode 2 "movie" on youtube and playing ep 3 which is the best game.

I am replaying Xenosaga Episode I and I have a routine everytime when I boot up my PS2, it can't read the CD, I wipe the cd with my shirt and put it back in and everything's fine.

....not sure if it actually fixes things or is just a happy accident but we'll see when I move on to Episode II and ideally can finish the trilogy...

It's been a while but I am now fully up to date on Konosuba. I don't know if it's just me but it feels like season 3 has a lot more episode-ending cliffhangers than the prior two, damn... but still just as great as ever and still so many gut-busting moments. Also never realized how much of a fan of the ")-(" or "|-|" anime faces I am before now, lol.

Love this show and will take any recommendations for anime that are Konosuba clones or predecessors. Same kind of humor and fun cast of characters, I really just want more, I assume there's only two episodes left in this season, damn...

Also I think my "to acquire" anime list is currently looking as follows:
-Frieren
-Pluto
-Kill La Kill

So would add any Konosuba-like comedies to that list (and eventually the "to watch" anime queue which'll take years but still!). Gotta watch Frieren sooner rather than later...

Ocarina of Time, I know I'll play it some day, maybe if I delay long enough a remake will happen lol.

Half-Life 2, I played and loved original HL but never played HL2. Similar story with Diablo and I finally got around to playing (original) D2 last year, so maybe will do same for HL2 at some point... when HL3 is announced, lol

ME trilogy, I also need to play at some point.

Only games I've played on BAFTA list are Hades, and Goldeneye and Halo multiplayer so yeah.... I've never been much of a gamer.

Gears and Gambits wasn't too bad, but it's brutal on Hard.

I still remember when they released a patch and one of the patch update notes was "made G&G Hard mode even harder" and I lost it. Just glad I finished that off before the patch...

Fort Condor is really a ton more fun in Intergrade so I really found it lacking here as well, unfortunately.

get your FF9 character saves in while you can, I know once you play Rebirth it'll be infinity Yuffie saves forevermore.

This was very cool to see laid out, thanks for piecing that together! Pretty interesting to see the stretch of 4 contests in raytanera with zero losses, impressive considering how early on that still was.

Also that reminded me that I was thinking of piecing together some "Every Newstats Contest Club" list, would add it as a 3rd tier on the previous table I posted, which I guess would just cover characters who were booted in oldstats but have pristine attendance record in newstats. Putting that on the stats docket for some later time...

ok officially done with Hades II until the next substantial update, just like with original Hades I need to force myself to stop as I keep getting pulled into the gameplay loop, I really could keep doing it but I've maxed out almost everything and have a ludicrous pile of resources. I really put way too much into it... Steam says 169 hours, damn.

I did the 32 Fear skull run and went into it with the intention of cheesing it with the Phoenix Skin duo boon (HP restores so long as you don't deal or receive damage) and I did in 3rd region. So going into every new encounter with 100% health helped, and in the final boss once things got down to about half health there was a hefty sequence of running from one side of the area to the other, lol. Nowhere to hide phase 2 but good thing DDs exist.

Just love this game so much and look forward to seeing what else they do with it - and especially what they're going to do for the "post-game" loop, original Hades' logically made sense but given this game's circumstances... will be interesting to see!

Lastly (the reason I started playing it again after I said last time I was done, lol):

Dunno if it was already posted but I just found out (2nd boss) if you have the revive enemy hex, you can use it in the Scylla boss fight to revive one of her sisters LOL

Did this and took some hilarious screenshots of the drummer still jamming while the area exit arrow's behind her, lol. Good stuff.

Every Contest Club, check the top of page 4 on Day 4 for a table of characters who've always been in the contest (or have always been in since they first entered, if they weren't in the very first one)

Terra will be missing XXVII so dropping off that table... Gilgamesh was also on the table and thought it'd be him for a second there.
