Hello everyone! Once again our sincere thanks for all your kindness, your thoughts, & your messages that have been completely heartfelt!
Was intending to finish up this page, and discontinue the fund efforts since so many have already been so generous.
But I plan to leave this GFM page up until June. (Someone reached out and informed me that there will be a Pokeman card event in NYC on June 2. Proceeds raised will be for Rachael, so for that reason (for ease of donations sent) I will continue to have this up.

WB are the bullies here. They said that with Fury Road they had gone over the budget turns out they didn't and were promised more money because of that. WB didn't deliver with the promise, the Oscars happen and Fury Road goes 6/10 and WB now wants to give them the money only for Miller to them Fuck you I want more now because we won all these awards and a better deal for future films. Years later WB caves in because all the DC stuff failed. Had they kept the promises from the start we would have had Furiosa around 2018 and Mad Max 5 around 2020 then COVID happens and delays Mad Max 6 to 2024 which is where we would be at right now. Miller himself has said that the scripts had already been done for years and they were just waiting to agree to a new deal.

Also the anime handling of the World Coronation Series was weird even disregarding the final bit with Ash vs. Leon.

everything involving Hiei tbh made it worth a watch alone in my opinion but aside from that and the final it was meh overall.

Star Wars is kinda in that spot now, with material that can either feed your brain (Andor) or fry it (Obi Wan).

obi wan is the only major piece of modern star wars i flatout do not like

I've not watched the video, but I'm a little confused that people talk about Batman having trouble with Rhino. More than one of his supervillains have super strength.

the writer was basically just throwing random things in early on as he was a teenager still

It's an interesting thought exercise. But idk, these days it's harder for me to separate power analysis from storytelling.

Batman would beat Spider-Man's villains because in that scenario Batman is the hero of the story. Power differential is irrelevant even discounting the prep-time meme. In an actual story, the characters would have goals and desires that affected their decisions, and there'd be a myriad of ways to choreograph the conflict that didn't necessitate a 1-on-1 melee.

In an arena death-match Batman realistically gets cremed, by any super-powered character. In an arena death-match, humans get stomped on by Godzilla. But the movie needs to end with Godzilla subdued and so the story is written in a way where the humans find a way. And so would be the same with Batman or any other character.

So, yeah, Batman loses these fights by any traditional comparison. But if "Batman vs Venom" or "Batman vs Doc Ock" were going to be serious stories, Batman wins.

Couldn't Batman just make some kind of loud sound generating device to neutralize Carnage? Symbiotes having such a major weakness like that would make it easy for someone like Batman to come up with a way to beat them them I think.

Unless they came up with some way to negate that weakness in the comics.
