I'm not sure what I'm dreading more

All the c13 bosses and the associated managing of MP over the whole chapter or all the c14 bosses, inevitable deaths, and restarts at who-knows-where

I take comfort from at least knowing I beat Bizarro Seph pretty easily the first time through.

I surprisingly did ok with Odin once I got the hang of him. To the point I didn't massively struggle with the fight vs. him and Alexander together, though it did take me a couple of tries. I think I had the revival earrings on to take a Zantetsuken hit, but I'm not sure if I needed it.

In fact there's been a few fights now where I wore those and ended up not needing them when I eventually won (Dyne, Roche, Rufus).

Beat Rufus. I found it quite intense because it was more of a cagey, low offense fight. Eventually found my openings and beat him. Got a little ways into the temple too.

I found the 1v1 fights in general quite unforgiving - I struggled with Dyne for instance

But Roche in Chapter 11 was surprisingly easy. Fire elemental on the armor helped.

I hope A-Train, or somebody, doesn't make it.

4 seasons into a show where people are murdered virtually every episode and the entire main cast is still around sans Maeve

it's stretching disbelief that Homelander doesn't just kill everyone anyway at this point

OK, making solid progress.

Beat Chapter 11 and started 12. Haven't had many problems, Gi Nattak was a bit of a prick but that's all. I imagine Rufus is going to suuuuuuuck.

Group performances don't matter as long as England top the group which they probably still will. I'd feel better if it was 6-0 or some shit obviously but it's fine

Portugal 2016, Argentina 2022, Spain 2010, Italy 2006, just off the top of my head. Get through and win when you need to.

The problem was all in the execution/presentation of it.

and you still have the brutal and legendary challenges? all of them? what's your weekday/weekend playtime situation looking like

if you go for pure cheese strats on the challenges you can do it, if you try to do them authentically, well... not as sure, depending how much time you're working with!

Pure cheese all the way, as I have been for a while tbh. I used guides for G+G and Condor hard modes, for instance. I'm just grinding my way to the Plat at this point. I'm doing Hard mode fairly authentically but yeah not cheesing a 10-phase gauntlet, dying on the 10th phase and starting over seems a waste of my time

Got party level 10!
Did chapter 4 hard mode. Roche took a couple of tries but ultimately was fine. I learned to stop being so conservative with MP because it was the end of the chapter and unleashed Firaga on him

Also have all the odd jobs done perfectly

The list

-Chapters 5-14 hard mode
-Brutal and legendary challenges
-Misc minigames to fill the Seaside Inn

Think that's it?

If I have breakfast at home, it's after.

I hate having no breakfast, but sometimes I have it at work (I have an emergency supply of porridge pots in the cupboard).

If I wake up in time to do the full routine, brushing teeth is last. I don't get why you'd compromise the taste

i was told that it could be beaten in 22 minutes or so once you know what you're doing. being unable to fly even in tutorial mode didn't feel particularly promising and there feels like there's a ton of content on the home planet. i have no idea what is or isn't a clue with the way information trickles out here talking to NPCs and trying to use my scope thing.

Outer Wilds legit took me 20, 25 hours to finish (admittedly I play slow)

Whoever told you it could be done in 22 minutes was massaging the truth at best.

Oh yeah I never mastered the RC ship and I think it made me anxious about piloting the real thing. There's a chance it genuinely delayed how long I took before becoming fully confident with the ship. I didn't love the ship controls, but I grew to appreciate them.

And the rest of the package is mind-blowing.

Everything in Outer Wilds is kind of purposeful.

Yeah I never found it aimless at any point. I picked a place, went there, and within a couple of hours had a series of tasks and things to build towards, places to go, etc.

That said, I got the meditate to next loop thing pretty early on B8's recommendation, and that made things much easier and smoother.

Have you considered that maybe you're just bad at it? Gears and Gambits really isn't that hard, especially since the game gives you a number of presets you can use.

I never had time to be bad at it. Rejected immediately as bad and a youtube guide situation. I guess I am or would be bad at it, but I started it and I was just like "nope, fuckin done". Minigame burnout maybe.

Oh yeah, Condor was bad, but I forgot how bad it was - I identified it as "bad" and copied a YT video move-for-move straight away, so it ended up being painless

Gears and Gambits I identified as bad, did the same thing, it didn't work at first, and that made it even worse
