I agree with the appreciation of Patrick's arc. During CS1, I was expecting him to follow the trope of being so consumed with jealousy of the main hero that he'd do whatever it took to beat him, becoming a main villain of that game. And then he...didn't do that at all. Glad to be wrong on that one. I also wouldn't mind him paired with Elise.

I imagine they're saving this for Part 3, since you go there again in Disc 2 of the original game. If we did all of the original's Disc 1 in parts 1 and 2, they would've been running out of new places to go in Part 3 anyway.

Honestly, I was kinda glad after a long Temple of the Ancients to have a short Forgotten City part this game.

Voted VIII though XVI's was cool as well. IV's is pretty memorable too. I hardly remember X's Bahamut.

I've been following this a good bit so I knew it was possible but only on the Wii VC version. Other versions need 1 A press now on Bowser in the Fire Sea. There's a Wii VC only glitch due to the Wii doing different floating point rounding from other versions that means that one of the platforms slowly rises there after a long enough time (8 hours-ish or so) that allows you to save that one A press.

Doing some of the stars without A presses requires memory manipulation and sometimes frame perfect movement so it's much easier to do on emulator. I'm guessing part of why it took so long to actually do the run is needing the Wii VC version and I dunno if there are emulators for it. Though with only getting 70 stars maybe you can avoid some of the most ridiculous ones.

Dunno about any others. I'm not sure if I've actually heard Baby before but I know it was the most downvoted Youtube video for awhile. I didn't hate Friday really but it's memeworthy enough to vote for (and my music taste shouldn't be trusted anyway)

I'd be fine seeing the extra RE4 be replaced. Don't really have a preference on what to replace it with. The most objective way I can think of would be one of the 8 that lost a tiebreaker for final 4...maybe whatever had the lowest margin or most votes? Or just have people vote on it? Doesn't matter to me that much (I'd also accept two RE4s if people really wanted that).

Regarding the one spot from RE4, did you keep track of what games needed tiebreakers? If the score for a match to make the final 4 was initially tied and needed a tie breaker, maybe that could help determine which elite 8 team should get that spot.

I played the original KH around when it came out and KH2 around when it came out. I haven't touched the series otherwise in well over a decade, and haven't particularly had a desire to. Felt kinda tired of the formula while playing KH2. Still, at least I can claim to have played 2/3 of the main series. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to playing 3.

In Aerith's section, if you have a partially full bucket, you can use triangle next to it to absorb the energy back. So if you started filling something else, it is possible to get it back.

There was some Yellow materia in one of the first sections of the Temple of the Ancients that I missed. By the time I noticed it, I was already on the last part of the first section and couldn't go back. Hope it wasn't unique.

Also random other question but, I saw a topic before Rebirth came out where people watched a trailer and were thinking we'd explore Gaia's Cliff in this game. That didn't happen...I clicked out of that topic as soon as people started talking about it. What was that referring to?

Speaking of bracers with background info, in Sky when I first saw Grant, Karna and Anelace, I got the impression they would have been familiar to players from something else. Were they in anything that predated Sky?

Finally finished this game a couple days ago. Really fun game, even if I got frustrated with a couple mini-game parts and side content.

Biggest criticism is twice when I died I accidentally picked the wrong option and went back too far and had to redo boss fights (seriously the wording of "Go back to previous checkpoint" isn't the clearest). Also the last boss of Chapter 12 was seriously annoying (and one of the times I picked the wrong option by accident). Died once on the final sequence on the last phase Heartless Angel hit me right after I healed and had no ATB but made sure to carefully look at the options this time to make sure I didn't go back too far.

I don't normally like reducing the difficulty to easy but did so twice: first was the battle square part of the UPA sidequest. I didn't want to spend hours on it and suspected that if I hit the PoNR without finishing I'd have to do the entire UPA sidequest again. Second time was the last protorelic boss - didn't want to leave this unfinished and the suggested level was so high.

My strategy for the first names was to think of first names of young coworkers, who would've been out of college not too long ago. The only exception I made was Corrine, which I got wrong (we may be a couple years away from that one).

Last names are harder, though. Not surprised to see fewer hits there.
