I'm laughing at the people who call 10F "light jacket weather." 40 is coat weather. There's no way you're going out in a light jacket unless you're one of those people who go out into the snow in shorts. But for those of us not a part of the polar bear club, 10 is extremely cold.

OTOH, 100 is extremely hot. As a kid, 100 didn't faze me. I was out every day in the heat at summer camp. These days heat wears on me more than it used to. So even though my knee-jerk reaction is that classically I'd prefer the 100, realistically, it's probably the 10. I can picture being out shoveling snow in 10, and having the activity keep me a bit warmer. I don't own a pool, though, so staying cool in 100-degree weather is considerably more challenging.

How do you even use that?
