(this counts as a Pokemon caught in Cerulean City proper, so I'm not breaking any rules.) The internet says to make my Pikachu really happy. Let's do this! Alright, first I need to show you updated levels. I ended up training a bit, and METAPOD is gonna try to do some awesome stuff in this battle!
  Are you an elevator? Perhaps a step ladder? No? Then how do you suggest I use you to get to the "top"? Whatever, bro. Now, to fight our first Gym trainer!    (Yes, I realize there's no pictures between me Low Kicking the Diglett and me KOing the Sandshrew. Spartacus is just that good.)    Glad you figured that out, buddy. Next time, pay attention in physics.  Well that was easy. Maybe Brock won't be so hard? BUT FIRST! I switch METAPOD to front! GO BUDDY, HARDEN THEM TO DEATH! (I have 6 potions to try and stall him out, but we'll see.)  Hi Brock!   LETS DO THIS   And as I said, out goes METAPOD!  Alright, time to do a Harden!    Just what I was... WAITING FORRRRR! Time to Struggle! 12 billion years later...  Well... I guess pogeys in Yellow don't run out of PP? I managed to get Geodude down to here through sheer struggling... But I don't wanna kill my precious METAPOD... Guess you live to fight another day, METAPOD!  Time to just get to Onyx. Low Kick Low Kick Low Kick, Spartacus!  After a Bind (which is seriously broken in Yellow, by the way] and a few Tackles, Onyx had weakened good old Spartacus, but he was greater than that! 3 Low Kicks later, and Onyx was no more! His unofficial name is Arthur, and since he's a Metapod he's hitting the box right when I make it back to a Pokemon Center.  Train'n, Viridian Forest'n...  And now I sit here, in Pewter City! LETS DO THIS  Why thank you, Professor Oak! Let's get things started! In honor of the current contest, I think I'll just do it old school and be Red. And my rival is obviously gonna be Blue.  Here  We  Go! So I do the normal stuff  pick up the potion from my PC, and start out on my journey to find Oak!   And we encountered a Pikachu, which Oak promptly caught without even damaging it.  We head back to Oak's lab, and Blue here was being a meany butt like always.  Ok, time to get the pogeys! I think I want a Squirtle!  Oh. Guess that works.  Time to name you... Sollux! Right here in this topic. I'm gonna do the 3rd version of each series when possible, so I'm gonna play Yellow, then Crystal, then Emerald (and possible either Fire Red or Leaf Green), then Platinum (and possibly either Heart Gold or Soul Silver), then hopefully by the time I'm done with those, the 3rd version of Gen 5 will be out.
Rules that I will be following: 1: If a Pokemon faints, I release it (or otherwise do not use it for the rest of the game). 2: I can only heal in battle or at Pokemon Centers. 3: I can only catch/obtain 1 Pokemon per area, and it must be the first unique Pokemon I encounter per area. 3a: Legendary Pokemon are immune to such rules, and may be caught when encountered. 4: I must nickname all of my Pokemon. 5: No trading between games, only in-game trades are allowed. 6: Any rules suggested to me or that I think up that would make the game harder will be applied at my discretion.
