The Lakers lost because we had no athleticism. None. In a league transitioning into the swingman era of long, athletic, elite wingspan everythings, the Lakers are a bygone vestige.

Howard fixes all that. He's athletic enough for an entire team. He single handedly turned the Magic into a top defense team on a team without any other decent defenders. THAT'S why he's a major upgrade.

As good as Bynum is down low, Howard is better defensively and athletically. We have enough scoring from Kobe/Gasol/Nash...Howard can get a crap ton of garbage buckets and putbacks which is what he does anyways.

1.The best thing about the Lin situation is that the Knicks could've just signed him during the season but Dolan told him to shop around. Everyone knew someone would give him a loaded back end deal but Dolan is just...Dolan. Still I like Felton.

2.Batum is worth every single penny. He's a 20 year old athletic wingman with elite defense and three point shooting. Everyone knew someone was gonna offer him a loaded deal.

I'll never understand why more people don't play AP Nasus. It makes no sense whatsoever. Let's look at the facts:

-Top lanes consist of champions with Sustain, Escapability, CC, Mixed Damage, innate defenses or defensive builds. This is where bruiser Nasus fails. His Q damage can be sustained early on so he loses trades.
-Nasus' best lanes are ones where he can itemize against it and farm his Q safely.
-Nasus wins lanes he can out sustain and out trade.
-Nasus Q will grow in strength regardless of him going AD/AP. Bruiser Nasus builds all tank items so he won't have any bonus AD anyways.


With these facts in mind let's look at AP Nasus.

-AP Mids are very easy to itemize against. Becuase of his ability to stack MR he removes burst champions from the game.
-AP Mids lack sustain. They can't take a Nasus Q and recover without potions. So he out sustains and trades them.
AP Mids don't have armor. Your Q, even without Armor Pen or AD does immense damage.
-AP Nasus can farm Q easier than Bruiser Nasus but also has a second form of damage in E and his ultimate gets stronger.

-Last and most importantly is this: AP Nasus is the single greatest farmer in the game. Better than Morgana. Better than Karthus. His Pool is larger than Morgana's and hits all 6 minions every single time. You can farm mid, your wraiths, enemy wraiths, and never miss out on a single CS. Since you're not dependent on Q you can spam it and since mid lane is so short and you're so tanky, ganking AP Nasus is nigh impossible.

AP Nasus brings all the benefits of Bruiser Nasus without the litany of flaws. He only has 2 counters mid and those are the 2 AP mids with the mix of CC, tankiness, and sustain: Ryze and Swain.

All the trolls and bad players are worth it for those times when you get a solid party who helps you wards, doesn't over-react to every death, shows up for the timers you keep track of, and uses your wards to counter jungle properly.

People are slowly learning to stop look at kills as the sole factor of who's winning and realizing that even if you're down 3-4k gold you can still win if you play better.

I know my next 3 games will be filled with people yelling at every death, panicking about that death so they don't ward because "they need the gold to do big damagez", and general dickishness, but it's ok.

AD Malphite works wonders but runs out of mana FAST.

AP Malphite worked because you could just buy 2 dorans and Sorc Boots and spam Q/E without ever really worrying about them hurting you back because his AS reduction lasted 4 seconds. FOUR SECONDS. That's 2 attacks when his E is on you.

1.Tristana's not a poke champion until level 8-9. Blitz has literally no fear of her until then.

2.Ashe dunks Blitz. Period. When he speeds up she Volleys. If he grabs her support she ults the enemy carry. Ashe is just so defensive that she infuriates alot of comps. It's why she's such a neutral pick bottom lane unless Vayne grabs Cleanse.

3.The most under-rated portion of Blitz isn't the grab, it's the threat of it. As long is Blitz is in the bush his carry has the greatest protection of all time and can farm safely.

It's only bad blitz's who think they have to initiate from max range with their grab.

The second Soraka's Silence is down run into her god damn face and pop her up. Then the grab is easy to land when she's that close.

Yes, Ezreal dumps on Blitz. Like I said, Poke Comps>>Burst Comps.


As for Nocturne, his nerfs were needed. His ult is gamebreaking and his shield lasted way too long when combined with it. Malphite got knocked down too hard.

They didn't nerf how much gold you earned, all they did was stop making such cost efficient items so cost efficient. This stops every top, mid, and jungler from running Heart of Gold and Philo.

Chris it's not always that easy to just say "ward brush against Blitz" as Soraka.

What happens after Soraka gives mana to her Carry. She's now unable to silence Blitz for around 10 seconds. Blitz and his carry can now zone her for 10 seconds and she can't do a god damn thing about it. They can initiate trades in this 10 seconds and again, nothing she can do about it.

Even worse, these trades can lead to someone getting 100 to 0'd once Blitz hits 6. Blitz came back into the scene simply because of his ability to do this to Soraka. Soraka can't just throw mana on her carry whenever she wants to when Blitz is around.

if you've never heard of Frank Ocean you'd have no clue what Channel Orange sounds like. In a funny turn of events, no one has spent more time talking about Frank Ocean's sexual preferences than Pitchfork.

Though I agree with the score. Channel Orange is as close to a 10 as possible without being a 10.

Blitz negates all of Soraka's power because he doesn't need to grab the carry, he just needs to grab someone.

Once that person is silenced, exhausted, and ignited there is nothing Soraka can do. All the heals in the world won't save you from 4 seconds of CC.

Basically, he and Leona out CC and out damage her heals.

The one aggressive support that Soraka can shut down is Taric because she can just silence him when he appears. But, in the ever flowing, ever balanced cycle of bottom lane, Taric can poop on Blitz.

Taric sits in the line of fire and dares Blitz to pull him in. All it does is pull him closer to the carry who will now be stunned and shattered without any peels from Blitz.

If you can get a Blitz or Leona lane at a significant health disadvantage, their powers of initiation are moot.

I don't see the problem with bottom lane.

Sustain loses to burst: Soraka loses to Blitz Leona. Her heals mean nothing when you're bursting with ignite.

Burst loses to Poke: Leona loses to Janna. Leona can't initiate when she's at half health.

Poke loses to sustain: Janna loses to Soraka. Soraka's team initiates trades and then recovers.


The real problem is that top lane is run mainly by guys who can sustain themselves infinitely. Shen/Udyr/Irelia/Vladimir/Kennen.

Most Xin's play Jungle Xin. Jungle Xin doesn't work because

A.He's slow unless he spams abilities. spamming makes him blue dependent. This is a bad thing. The people who rule the jungle nowadays are AOE clearers who can keep up in levels and CS(Udyr Nocturne Mundo Lee Sin) or support junglers who transition well(Maokai Nautilus)

B.So easily kited. His slow is negligible at early levels. Getting all 3 hits of Q off without getting CC'd is nearly impossible. Early levels is all Xin has in the jungle. See the problem.

C. Xin needs farm. Alot of farm. The reason Irelia can dive teams and escape is because Triforce at 20 minutes in is friggin strong. As is Wit's End+Warden's Mail. Give Xin these items at 18-20 minutes and he's going to blow people up, too.

They're going to nerf him. Period. It's how Xin Zhao works. He's impossible to balance correctly. But his new kit allows them to nerf him without making him unplayable.

The biggest changes were moving sustain passive to W and making his Ultimate knockback everyone except your challenged opponent. Prior to this, Xin's ultimate was pointless for the same reason Madred's is: It's Magic Damage.

Now? Your Carry is in trouble if Xin lands it. If the knockback is significant enough, your carry is all alone with no one to peel. If they don't have flash they're popped in the air. Dead.

P.S: Xin has always and will always God Stomp most melees top lane once he gets Wriggles. His sustain makes trading with him a bad idea.


Peaf, in case I wasn't specific enough, let me add this in.

His former passive that they moved to W heals him every 3 hits. The problem was that it scaled with level so it scaled slowly since it got 18 levels. Now that it's on the W you can make it scale FAST. Once you're level 5 and your W is level 3, your sustain should be higher than Irelia's.

Irelia and Xin are very similar champions. They are both tanky assassins with incredible lane sustain and once they get ahead of you it's nearly impossible to recover. This is what makes them so hard to balance.

The rework increased more of his strengths: mainly dueling and single target assassination.

Passive: Xin already ran 26 Armor Pen in lane and now the extra 15% will make him very hard to fight 1 on 1. It also lets him scale a tad bit better.

His Q got a AD bonus which is useless because no one maxes out Q but moving the cooldown from W to Q allowed them to move the former Passive to W.

W was always awesome and nothing changed.

E was always awesome and nothing changed.

Xin's Ultimate now makes someone MAN THE **** UP. If Xin gets to your carry and hits his ultimate, he's going to get 1-2 seconds to blow them the F UP.

I find it much easier to Carry in normals, no one focuses me. You can free farm in lane because no one has any concept of lane control.

Your job isn't the focus the enemy carry. Your job is to focus whomever is in front of you. Here's how every normal game goes as a carry


1.First team fight you position well and get a double/triple kill.
2.Next team fight the tanky DPS gives you. Runaway and reposition depending on your carry. Come back in and watch everyone ignore you
3.Now you're fed so the enemy team is going to dive you like idiots. Runaway as your team mercilessly pounds the enemy. Keep running because no one is going to peel for you.
