Oh, and yes, I have bought something on craigslist I was satisfied with. It's also my only purchase: my car. It was a rush sale and the seller said the price was non-negotiable, but I was okay with it because it was $500 or so under Kelly Blue Book value and had no problems. I was going to try to get another person to take an offer that low anyway for a car with many more miles.

Those prices are not meant for you. They are meant for people who don't know any better.

Also, lots of those prices are meant to be negotiable. You're supposed to ask for more than what you think you'll get for it, so that people can negotiate with you. If you'd accept a deal at $100, why not ask for $150? For all you know, you could get someone who wants to buy it for $150, or someone could negotiate you down to $125. If you're negotiated down to that price, you're still getting $25 more than you would have if you originally listed $100.

That's what I always do when selling my textbooks to other people, at least. That said, I never sold anything on craigslist.

Just a reminder that the cable company is coming tomorrow morning and the server may go down unexpectedly if they need to work on anything related to my Internet connection. The beauty of Tekkit is that you're not really forced to learn anything if you don't want to. You could just play with the vanilla stuff if you want. Then, later on, you could start with new stuff if you want.

You don't need to learn everything. I still don't know how to take advantage of certain mods, and I'm still into it.

Just start doing what you know how to do. Get some good tools, and start building stuff. Explore. Have fun. There's also some starter equipment in the Bro House meant for anyone to use so they could get started on things. Feel free to play with them.

Portal 2 was my personal game of the year last year, definitely worth it at that price.

It was mine as well. I paid $35 for it, and it was definitely worth that. $6.79 is a great deal.

They are excellent games. Play the first one first, though. I don't think it is a good idea to play Portal 2 before Portal 1, because you'll miss out on some things.

Sprite is pretty refreshing as far as sodas go. I've found that Gatorade/Powerade can also be pretty good.

Sprite/7UP is the absolute best when you're sick, though. Works better than water for me, especially when recovering from food poisoning.

Even if the statement is technically opinionated, I read it as matter-of-fact. Considering I know some really ostentatious people who believe their opinion is fact and are very expressive about it all the time, adding "in my opinion" is just a way of saying "I don't expect other people to necessarily agree with this, but..."

I guess it depends on the people you know and how they react to opinionated statements like that. Still, do you think it is so difficult for someone to tell that it is an opinion that they would need to call someone out about how they are expressing an opinion as a fact?

But does it do the synchronized folder thing? I like that about Dropbox, because I like to be able to access my files when my Internet connection is not working properly. My Internet connection usually works great, but I have enough problems when it is not working.

I've lived in California most of my life and up until a few years ago we had 7.75% (in riverside/san diego counties)

Now it's just 8.75%, at least everywhere in San Diego county that I've been.

I'm in Los Angeles County. I try to buy things from Orange County when I'm over there (of course, it's not worth making a special trip), because LA County is taxed so much.

LA County has a 1% higher sales tax compared to most other counties. There was a sales tax hike for public transportation that voters approved to make it .5% higher. In Pico Rivera and South Gate, there was a measure passed by voters that bumped up sales taxes "by a penny" as those cities advertised (of course, that's on every dollar, so 1% sales tax increase).
