Man, Buffy isn't looking too hot in this contest. "Hush" didn't exactly set the world on fire in its match a few days ago... and "Once More, With Feeling" honestly kind of tanked yesterday. It only got a little over 60% against Heroes' "Company Man," despite being one of the contest's most iconic episodes. Maybe "The Body" will buck the trend and perform well today - let's find out!

RULES:

-Vote for your favorite episode in each match! Keep in mind, though, that you can only vote once per match; and you cannot edit or otherwise change your votes.
-There will be two matches per day, and each day of voting will end after 24 hours have passed.
-No alts. Seriously man, have a heart!
-There's nothing wrong with some joking/ribbing, but don't seriously insult/flame people based on their preferences. It's a GameFAQs contest, not the Emmys. (rimshot)
-A synopsis for each episode is provided. Just highlight the spoiler tags. Not all synopses have spoilers, but just to be safe, I've given them all spoiler tags anyway.

PREVIOUS RESULTS:

(3)Firefly, "Out of Gas" - 29 (64.44%)
(6)Breaking Bad, "One Minute" - 16 (35.56%)

(2)Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Once More, With Feeling" - 21 (61.76%)
(7)Heroes, "Company Man" - 13 (38.24%)

"Through the Looking Glass" proved why it was the overall 1-seed yesterday, as it managed to almost triple "Days Gone Bye." Not to be outdone, "Face Off" also managed to score an impressive near-doubling over "Kill Them All." Sounds like those two will have a fun R2 match, if you ask me! Today's matches feature classic episodes from Buffy, Mad Men, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Friday Night Lights. A good mix of old and new here, if you ask me!

Will the Lions be able to win State and go out in a blaze of glory; and will Coach Taylor agree to return to coach the Dillion Panthers and a super team with the best of both schools? Tami's PA job offer adds conflict in the Taylor home as does a new development with Matt & Julie. Meanwhile Tim Riggins and Tyra talk seriously about their futures and Luke & Becky clear the air.

(2)Mad Men, "The Suitcase"
Original Air Date: September 5, 2010

What happened yesterday?!? After seeing Cartman and Randy Marsh put up somewhat unimpressive performances, I was expecting Butters' match against Lucille to be a close one. Instead, the little guy went on a friggin' rampage, receiving more than 60% of the vote. Meanwhile, Jerry and the Tool Man had a fantastic match - the latter won the early vote, but sadly, he wasn't able to keep his lead.

RULES:

1) No alts. Seriously, nobody likes dealing with that ****!
2) There are four matches per day. You don't have to vote in all of them, though.
3) Be clear with your votes! Enough said.
4) Once you post, you can't change your vote... so make your first attempt count!
5) This contest is being held on four different boards: GameFAQs Contests, Poll of the Day, Television: Broadcast TV and Television: Cable and Satellite. You can only vote in one of the topics, though.
6) Matches will last no longer than 24 hours.
7) Even though the name of the contest is "Best Sitcom Character Ever," the contest's definition of "sitcom" is loose; characters from all primarily comedic scripted programs were eligible. So, my personal recommendation would be to vote for your favorite character in each match-up, regardless of whether they're from traditional sitcom programs or not - but of course, how you vote is up to you. :P

LAST DAY'S RESULTS:

(1)Dr. Perry Cox - 58 (86.57%)
(16)Jake Harper - 9 (13.43%)

(8)Butters Stotch - 40 (60.61%)
(9)Lucille Bluth - 26 (39.39%)

(5)Hawkeye Pierce - 39 (88.64%)
(12)Ben Harper - 5 (11.36%)

(4)Jerry Seinfeld - 40 (54.05%)
(13)Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor - 34 (45.95%)

Senor Chang managed to put up a fight against The Janitor - particularly early in the match - but aside from that, Day 8 was filled with blowouts. Bart almost tripled Louie (;_;), Bender cracked 90% against Titus, and Will destroyed Boomhauer in impressive fashion.

We're only one day in, and we already have a pretty big upset on our hands! Thanks to his popularity on the Television: Broadcast TV board, Mr. Feeny was able to take Hank Hill to school. We also got to see Costanza go completely berserk; poor Artie only got a single vote. Next up: part two of the Moops Division!
