I loved Red Hood. I thought it was good fun. Though I'm unfamiliar with Starfire so whatever they did or didn't do to her character doesn't bother me. To me she came off as an almost self destructive person looking for something in the world, not completely unbelievable especially if she's missing parts of her past and feels like an outcast on a planet that doesn't accept her. Although I do think this characterization could have been pulled off with a little more tact but then again, it is a kind of in your face, tactless book. I do admit that she came off as overly sexualized but that doesn't bother me.

It's actually a good thing 24 didn't get another season. After Season 8, the writers pretty much admitted they didn't know what they would've come up with for another plot. They were out of ideas.

This, and it ended on one of it's highest notes. The last stretch of S8 was fantastic.

It's the only show I care about on that network at this point. I gave up on Chuck somewhere in the middle last season. I'll probably go back and finish it because it's still quite good, just wasn't holding my attention as much as it used to and with it ending I won't have to worry about it anymore.

And I have a hard time believing Fringe's numbers won't stay steady. Even if we're to believe the cries of the very outspoken claiming they won't watch anymore after last seasons twist ending the show still has a dedicated fanbase. The people who get vocal about dropping a show like that are in the vast minority and won't make a difference. Plus, they usually stick around anyway.

And Fringe is the type of show that ends it's seasons rather dramatically with big shakeups to the status quo. It's always quite interesting to see where they take it from there and I think people will be sticking around because of that.

It's getting the same treatment as Chuck. Fringe is an established show with a fanbase that will follow the show to Friday, where Fringe will see out the remainder of its run.

I think he was asking if the show will get canceled after this season. Obviously, it has a full season order and so long as it keeps the same sort of numbers it did last year then it's fine for this season. Plus, Fox likes the show, that really helps.

As to whether or not it gets a fifth season that's up in the air, although I'd say it's very likely so long as its rating hold up. It's Fox's Chuck and if they give it a fifth season it'll hit that magic 100 episodes and be good to go for syndication.

No, Buffy clearly is. Not that The X-Files isn't highly acclaimed as well,. You're just more likely to find people who say Buffy is the better show. Both are two of my favorites. I grew up watching The X-Files so there's a lot of nostalgia for me but even then it still holds up.

Wilfred isn't always laugh out loud hilarious but it's a really well done high concept show and it is quite funny. It's more of a WTF show, even with it's humor. It can be pretty crude sometimes but it pulls it off with a certain level of finesse so as to not be derivative or stale. It always has a few great Lost style endings with the season ending being an actual homage to the show. It's unlike anything else on tv and really well done. I highly recommend it.

I hear S2 has a lot of really gimmicky episodes. I could see that really grating on my nerves - that's probably my #1 sitcom pet peeve.

There are "gimmick" episodes, yes. But a big part of the show is trope subversion and lampshading. These episodes are unlike anything you'd expect. They're also really well written so that they work in universe. It's hard to explain but there's not much to be afraid of. A lot of the episodes are more genre homages than anything else. It's really great.

I'm looking forward to Netflix Instant getting S1 of Community. I'll be honest with ya - the bits and pieces I've seen of the show haven't impressed me in the slightest. But I have a feeling it'll be one of those "Modern Family"-type shows that grows on you considerably after a dozen episodes or so.

Yeah, you might have to stick with it a bit, about halfway through the first season for some people. It clicks really early for some, later for others. I started to really like it with the second episode and loved it by the seventh. It really starts to get better once you (and to a certain extent, the writers and actors) get a handle on who the characters are. It's almost nothing like Arrested Development in tone but that's the closest thing I can compare it to. Just a genius show.

I'm fairly certain he's written a comic or two. Although they may just be adaptations of some of his stories. I don't know if he had anything to do with the Wild Cards comics but there are those. He's definitely a fan of comics in general although I'm not sure if he actually keeps up with them today.

The line about being canceled makes me think Terriers but that could just be semantics. Could be Friday Night Lights even though it wasn't actually canceled, just ended on it's own terms.
