I don't think Murray dreams that big yet.

For now, he dreams of winning a set in a Grand Slam Final.

Maybe one day he'll win two sets.

Is it seeds 1&3 in one half or 1&4, or random?
I know for the French they did 1&4 in the same half, is it the same in every slam, I can't remember. Just wondering if there will actually be the possibility of a Nad/Fed final or semi-final.


Pokewars seemed to be implying that 1 and 3 will be in the same half.

And I just checked and it has been that way for the past 5 Wimbledons.

DAMNIT.

I'm happy with either or. Fed/Nadal is great, Nadal/Djokovic is great, I'd love to see one of the new guys break through.

If Fed wasn't around, Nadal would have two more Wimbledons.

But then you could make the argument that if you take away clay and grass that he's still just a chump with only two hard court major titles.

I honestly think Federer and Nadal are both overrated.

Take away all of their wins but one and they'd each only have one win.

Not very impressive.

:( take away clay and all he has is more major titles than the top ten active players combined (not counting Federer).

So mediocre it hurts.

In fact, I am now in the process of drafting a petition that gets Nadal banned from the tour for being so dominant on clay and only mediocre everywhere else.

It's bad for the sport.

Winning the Australian Open, the US Open, and Wimbledon twice would be mediocre.

1st seed potentially faces 3rd seed at the semifinals, so Djokovic has a clearer path this year.


Yeah, I know.

I said that the draw wasn't even out but this was what I was predicting.

And in tennis topics, you state your predictions as fact or they don't count.

Hopefully Federer is in Djokovic's half though. And Murray is in Nadal's so that Nadal beats Murray in the semis and either Fed or Djokovic will get to come in second.

If I get a teaching job this semester, I am going to Wimbledon next year.

I'll have the whole summer off and I'll have plenty of time to save money.

Nadal will be going for his fifteenth major at that point.

So I suppose I'll have to go to the US Open to see him tie Federer.

And then Australia to see him break the record and cement his legacy.

And then Paris just to complete the Anri Rafa Slam.

What a year it will be.

I'd love to see a Djokovic/Nadal final but he's gonna get scared again and lose to Federer in the semis.

The draw isn't even out but it's pretty obvious.

As obvious as Murray making it to the quarterfinals and building up a lot of momentum/hype before self destructing.

He has won it the last two times he's tried.

Nadal has completed the ol' French-Wimbledon back-to-back feat twice before. He shall do it again to claim his Eleventh Major Title and become the undisputed God of Tennis.

He has been in the final of Wimbledon 4 of the last 5 years, winning the title in his last two attempts (the only blemish being in 2009 when he did not compete due to injury).

The rest of the field is competing for second place and I wish them the best.

Just for fun, a quick look at the best resume a 25 year old tennis player has ever had:

Australian Open Titles: 1
French Open Titles: 6 (tied with Borg for most all time)
Wimbledon Titles: 2 (very soon to be 3)
US Open Titles: 1
Masters 1000 Series Titles: 19 (most all time)
Best Player of All Time Titles: 1


Chances Roddick Has Left: 0
