There's nothing wrong with playing as an opposite gendered character, but there's no good reason to do so in a Pokemon game.

You like the design better? You mean the squat, non-discernible sprite on the map screen, or the character graphic that appears all of two seconds in battle? I just don't understand people who went, "I didn't like the male character in Diamond and Pearl, so I played as the girl", and acted like it mattered in the slightest.

What options? Both characters are always exactly the same. They just act as avatars. It's really dumb to actually go "select" either character rather than just picking your own gender since there's absolutely no difference.

All those "frozen" parts on the map just look like magazine graphic to me. I mean, look at how it overlaps the Skyarrow Bridge. If the bridge was really partly frozen, I think it would have been drawn with a different angle.

Since it's free for the first month, it does kind of remind me of how Pokemon Black and White had Victini available through wifi for a limited time right after its release, or how Platinum had the Secret Key event in the same way. It's used to encourage people to buy the game quickly before the promotion runs out, only this time you can still get it afterwards if you're willing to pay for it. I guess whether that's good or bad depends on whether you feel that's fair or exploitative.

I wonder if they'll do something like that for the 3DS Pokemon games...

That seems practical, but I often find myself typing titles in full anyway. It's like, I would spend slightly more time thinking about what's the fewest key words I can enter to get what I want than just simply typing the whole thing quickly without even processing it.

I thought this was really hard, but I'm surprised at how many I got. Still, there were a lot of themes that felt way too familiar, even if I was sure I'd never heard them before. There are so many songs that have that distinct RPG-battle "feel" to them. 15 really bugged me. I knew it was Sakuraba, but I couldn't figure out from where. I just guessed something from the Tales series.

Eh, it's hard for to defend or complain the Gamecube version of MMAC.

On the one hand, yeah, switching the buttons was incredibly stupid, and it led to a lot of problems and needless deaths when I first played it. On the other hand, it only took me one day to get used to it, and they felt completely natural after that. So I can't really disagree when people talk about the control problems, but I also can't say that it matters at all.
