I only played 3 and 4, but out of those two, 3 is better than 4.

3 is actually a good title.

4 is, well, not so much.

As long as keep casualties to a minimum, I think you'll do just fine for the rest of the game.

This topic of yours inspired me to play some Shining Force III Scenario 3: Bulzome Rising over the last few days, nice. It's a New Game+ file that I'm using and my main character is now ridiculously overpowered, by Shining Force standards. Off the top of my head, the stats for him are:

Level 1
(The main character is able to restart his innovator class and get the stat bonus again, and is able to relevel all over again, after a certain battle.)
HP: 291
MP: 125
Attack: 206
Defense: 165
Agility: 86
Move: 6
Luck: 5
Spells: Egress LV 1, Spark LV 4, Inferno LV 2

Promoting when you want shouldn't be an issue in SFI.

It's not even that big of a deal in the SFIII, you can jump to promotion class at level 10, and go to innovator class at level 20, or go all out for the better 17 then 30 in that game. This is because leveling in SFIII is horrible for the remainder of the levels, 18 through 20 for the base class, and 31 through 99 for both of the promotion and innovator classes, as getting actual stat increases for these levels requires in most cases constant resetting.

There is one character in SFIII however, that has all of his leveling completely backwards, where reaching level 30 before innovator class should be done, if the player plans to use him.

Imagine trying to do your challenge with Shining Force III, ouch. Especially for the late game portions of all three Scenarios, and the premium disc too.

1. EXA is a standalone title that has little to do with the original series, so you'll be fine starting the game without prior knowledge of the other titles. Also the gameplay is hack and slash style, as opposed to a strategy RPG.

2. 3 Scenario 1 > 3 Scenario 3 > 3 Scenario 2 > 2 > 3 Premium Disc > Shining Force CD > 1 > EXA

I would still like to play Shining the Holy Ark at some point.

With Rarity's theme, I found it to better after listening to it a few times, but I have to agree that it didn't have the same impact as the first two themes done by RainbowCrash88 for Twilight and Applejack. Pinkie's theme seems to me like it's between good and great, where parts of the music are solid, and the rest, not so much.
