Rock that's honestly the best description I've heard for a Wii: a complimentary system. It's nice to have for brawl, galaxy, etc....but for it to be your main system is a joke.

Then why did you say we aren't arguing from a certain demographic? The ONLY way 360/PS3 could be considered the "winner" is arguing from a certain demographic.

Um, as a PC gamer, I bought a PS3. Metal Gear Solid 4 is not on Wii.
So you bought it for one game? If that's fine for you then cool but I don't really buy consoles unless there's going to be like 15-20 games I want to play. For me the PS3 has MGS4, Uncharted series, and God of War 3. Everything else is on PC as well or looks like it's going to be in the future.

I was just letting you know what we had already done. But the discussion is over. Wii "won" on sales, PS3/360 won on overall gaming experience which is what truly matters to video game fans, and the handhelds were probably your true "Winner" this gen.

Dude don't bother. I don't remember Robazoid being a slave to NintendroneB8faqs but apparently that is his deal these days. I already laid down the law regarding what it means to win a console war in the eyes of gamers. I already laid down the law regarding why Wii fans are so insistent that they "won" this gen. If people don't want to listen to reason, they aren't going to. Period.

A couple people in this topic, like MWC (I'm assuming he went to watch the kentucky game), seemed open to some rational discussion, but apart from that its just the usual nintendo defense force (GMUN, stifled, etc). Nothing is gained from having a debate with them, and nothing is gained from winning a debate with them. They're minds cannot be changed due to their blind nostalgia for their childhoods. Arguing that the Wii "won" this gen is just a manifestation of this delusion.

There's I think a biiiit more turnover than you're giving credit for- several of my old favorite people are here rarely to never, and there are still a good handful of folks I don't really know yet, but there are fairly awesome newish folks too.
There might have been a few people leaving, but there's no newcomers. The newest user I can think of is Nio, and I'm pretty sure she's been here since before the contest.

There's a ton of new users, they just don't have strong enough personalities to get recognized or remembered.
