Of course, when it comes to pacing, you have to recognize the difference between a laugh track and a live audience.

A lot of shows people blame for having laugh tracks are really recorded in front of a live audience. Others are filmed, then shown to a live audience to record their reactions. Obviously the differences between those two styles and laugh tracks will affect what the mood and timing of the show will be.

FF7 has good music, but I always thought the quality was worse than FF6's. It sounded sort of... cheaper, even though the Playstation had better audio capabilities.

I wouldn't be too worried just because they didn't localize one game out of the last 6 mainly due to it being the end of the platforms lifecycle

Heck, it wasn't that late. Even if it would take a year to localize, it still would have come out only slightly after the 3DS, and the system still had life then.

It's not that you need to play the games in order to understand the plot, but they are pretty cavalier about spoiling things that happened in earlier games, the assumption being you should already know what happened.

Curious Village, Diabolical Box and Unwound Future sort of form their own little trilogy this way. It's not like the stories are connected, but the later games will spoil some things from the earlier games.

Last Specter, Eternal Diva (the movie), and Mask of Miracle are sort of the same way to each other, but they don't make many references to the other trilogy that much (mostly because they're prequels).

Yeah, it sounds really. I love how the art style of the arcade game is so accurate to how Donkey Kong looked, both the in-game graphics and the artwork. But on the other hand, it would be so easy to screw this up by pandering to cliched stereotypes about video games. Hopefully they pull it off.

I was kind of hoping Friend or Foe would make the list. There's absolutely no logical reason to pick 'Friend' in that show at all.

And to be fair to the Wipeout example, you get a time penalty for intentionally failing an obstacle. The best strategy seemingly would be to pretend you're actually trying and wipeout as soon as you can without letting them catch on.
