Imagine if you were hella rich and could buy a good cnc machine, 3D scanner, and the software to make it all work together. You could take them apart, scan them, upload the scans to a modeling software, and make your own out of metal. Hell, I bet you could even rescale the models to make them larger and maybe hire an artist to make the pieces more detailed, then you'd have huge badass metal power ranger toys.

Finished up Mizu Zokusei and enjoyed it a good bit. Now I'm on Isekai Mokushiroku. One ep in, seems better than I was expecting it to be, hopefully it ends up being at least decent for me.

For games, I'm playing Expedition 33 and it's great, glad the hype was real.

These are just outside of my age range, but I have seen Avatar and an ep or two of Spongebob. I've seen all of Avatar and it is a good show, but Spongebob is a cultural juggernaut, so I picked it.

Wish I had waited longer and got them at $16 instead of at $20, but whatever. They also have several other amiibo at $6. The new DK amiibo is also $16, but you seem to have to find it locally, as it wouldn't let me order one online.

Keep waiting for Dandadan to be watchable and then they keep making more, so I'll keep waiting for it. Watching an ecchi show from last season and going to probably watch another one after. Would've watched them earlier if I'd realized they were half episode shows. I like it when shows have ecchi parts, but when the whole premise is set around ecchi, they're usually mediocre or worse.

Normal pricing for singles was 16, with them trending to 20 lately. Then tariff boy happened and they raised the newest ones (totk, dk bananza) to 30 and some Street Fighter ones were 40. Before they raised the prices they were set to sell for 20 and 30 respectively. 30 for the Street Fighter ones pre tariffs was already ridiculous.

3 Metroid ones for the upcoming MP4: two of them cost $30 and one costs $40

2 new ones for the Mario Galaxy re releases: both cost $40

2 new ones for Kirby Air Ride: both cost $50

Assuming the prices I found were accurate of course, they're what I found on Deku Deals. I recently got the 4 TotK guardian amiibos, since Gamestop marked them down to their original overpriced price of $20 each, but I wanted them, so I got them. I only really care about the Metroid ones here, but the prices seem crazy. Obviously I won't be buying them unless they're cheaper.

The current consoles aren't nearly powerful enough to be forever consoles. We've still got a ways to go to hit the graphical plateau and 8k resolution. I only care about the graphical plateau though, because I want them to have new focus on other technical limitations. Never seeing assets clip through each other again would be great. As for 8k, I remember reading that it would be enough more than enough resolution to do true to life images, so anything beyond that would essentially be superfluous.

As much as I'd like to see more focus on other aspects of gaming, as long as there are better visuals to chase, game companies will go after them, as they're the easiest way to say "this is better than the old stuff".

Probably my .45, for my favorite. Don't think it's ever jammed on me and I've run near a thousand rounds through it. The .22 is pretty fun. It's semi auto and has 10 round mags. It was also my cheapest gun. Was barely over $100 when I bought it. I always get sad when I think of how cheap .22lr ammo used to be. It's around 5x the cost per bullet these days.

Im replaying Mario Odyssey before I pick up Donkey Kong. First of all this game looks great in 4K and HDR. But also. God damn it hit me that I havent played this game in almost 8 years. It simultaneously feels like forever ago and not that long ago. Kinda making me want to pick up the BotW upgrade too.

The botw and totk "upgrades" feel like a scam to me. Especially the botw one, since they're too stingy to even add the old dlc in.

Still holding off as well. DK does look fun though, but I can easily wait. In the meantime, I bought one of those larger carry cases for the Switch, so I can store it in there for when I get a Switch 2 eventually and it'll stay safe and clean. Case was half off on walmart.

Y'all getting anything, or have any good deals to recommend?

Tentatively I've got these in my cart:

Borderlands 3 $2.99
Jurassic Worlds Evolution 2 $2.99
Noita $7.99
Tomb Raider trilogy $10.60

I'm also considering Core Keeper, but it's $13.99. Thinking of giving myself a modest budget of $50 for the sale, but won't necessarily spend that much. None of the other games in the deep discount highlight are big wants, so I'll skip them most likely.

Been rewatching the killed slimes for 300 years and maxed my level anime, so I could watch s2. I think I'll finish my s1 rewatch, but I no longer want to watch s2, so I think I'll look for something else. It doesn't quite feel like a slog to watch, but it's really not grabbing, so more of it seems pointless for me to watch.
