I am married <.<

my wife is gone a lot for work though (like 60-75%), so I have a lot of alone time. When shes home we spend 100% of our time together.

Last night I went to a gala sorta thing related to work and during dinner sat next to these two ladies who had a whole table to themselves because all their friends bailed.

Anyway they were pretty cool. One went to the same college as me and graduated the same year and we had a mutual friend. The other one I talked to about sports and kids and our jobs. She gave me her phone number and said I should come to the place she works or hang out sometime.

after dinner I left to do things with coworkers but wed run into each other occasionally. I danced with the girl who gave me her number and they helped me win a best dressed contest and we had a few drinks together etc.

I kindaaaa feel like maybe they were pranking/humoring me the whole night but I also legit thought they were pretty cool. I have like 0 non-work friends so Id really like to have people I could hang out with on my own time. But is it weird if I call? What do I even say?

Ive beat Mario a handful of times and each time I have to lookup a gfaqs walkthrough for those infinite castle levels. I dont think Id ever be able to pass it when it was first released

It was something like this Japanese artist was nominated for x award in 2020

I considered Mitski but thought she was an American artist. Im not saying I was right, just that it could maybe be argued shes an American artist.

This reminds me of a time the trivia guy asked what the original ice cream flavor a Shamrock Shake from McDonalds was. The answer was lemon-lime but my team guessed vanilla. We won the point since it was a vanilla base and had vanilla syrup, and was only lemonlime flavored not lemonlime ice cream.

I got dinged at trivia today for not guessing Mitski as a musician from Japan, even though all her major releases are from American record companies and recorded in America. She was born in Japan, but her songs are in English and she lives in America. Her Wikipedia page is nebulous on where she was raised, but she began song writing in Turkey. Maybe shes a Turkish artist

I sorta get where theyre coming from, but thats the reason I like Apple products. I like that everything works smoothly, that theres not a thousand different kinds of phones and watches and headphones and browsers and app stores and blah blah blah. I like the ease of messaging on iMessage and calling someone on FaceTime and using my Apple Wallet at the store - not having to worry about downloading WhatsApp or telegram or zoom or Skype or every business individual apps to scan codes to pay for things. I like that I can pick up an iPhone or Macbook anywhere and it works and looks and feels like mine. Forcing them be more competitor friendly is not what I want.

i can understand why ppl dont like those things, but I know a lot who do.

It's not like most people dont have androids anyway, or that 80% of computers are Macs.
