Sufferedphoenix posted... What I don't and never will get is why Republicans gotta be such bigots. There would be so many minorities that would vote for them otherwise. Those are the only ones I understand that vote one way despite the other side more representing what they want. Talk to a older black guy. Chances are his views are more conservative than you'd assume but he will still vote dem. Same with a lot of hispanics. I grew up in a trailer park half white half Hispanic and there was hardly a difference between them aside from taste in music and them definitely more willing to let extended family live with them. But ya know repubs gotta hate them so they ain't typically going to vote for them.
My family is conservative, and they're not as bigoted or racist as Democrats would try to claim. The "bigotry" that Democrats speak is very over exaggerated.
I'm not saying that it doesn't exist, because it does. I have witnessed it myself, but I have seen more kinded hearted conservatives that you might think exist.
I also would like to point out that Donald Trump gained a record amount of minority votes in 2020 not seen since the election of Eisenhower. So minorities might feel more inclined to vote conservative than you realize. South Texas with it largely Hispanic and Democratic, now leans a bit more to the right.
