I still like to play og metroid! I could never beat it as a kid but now I can get sexy samus in the ending without too much trouble. Hard to top SMB3 though, I think it really is the best 2d mario. I remember watching the Wizard in the theater, which was a Nintendo ad disguised as a movie, and the big exciting finale was that they played SMB3 *before it was released*. As a small child this was the coolest thing in the entire universe, when of course every parent at the movie knew that a)it was a fancy ad and b)they were going to be spending money pretty damn soon

Another strong division except for skwovet. I have like 4 garchomps I've used over the years, including my beloved Garchibald, who is a fancy lady indeed.

Another pokemon based on an ancient Japanese artifact that I like, Bronzong is based on a Dotaku bronze bell (this is why its Japanese name is Dotakun) from the Yayoi period. He is a big weird bell with red eyes and that's a good pokemon in my opinion. Although I'm annoyed by salazzle's horniness, I will still vote it up as I am a lizard fan (I need to be my house is just lousy with lizards)

I'm a big fan of floating suns with faces and also a fan of strange masks; this particular form of brain damage places Solrock in my top 20 pokemon. I also like weird sea life, and so cradily fits in there. Lurantis is a given. Conversely yungoos just sucks and golem is stupid looking in the bad way. It's not like geodude is great, but then they took a big step down into the pile of dogshit that is golem.

This is a really strong division for me. I actually have no problem with buizel or raboot (I have a problem with Bellibolt). Nihilego is in my top 10 pokemon, and it's becoming rapidly clear why rock type is accidentally my favorite pokemon type.

Nobody appreciates Heatmor. He's an anteater with a tongue made of fire! He's built like a little furnace. I think he's cool. On the negative side, obligatory low vote for shitty monkey, also probably the two worst cross-gen evos in generation 4, both ruined their initial concepts. Tangrowth was just starting with a shittier concept.

Sableye has always been one of my favorites; I tried using this thing when it first came out despite having terrible stat just because I'm partial to little gremlins with gemstone eyes. When he got prankster I was overjoyed, and I've used him on ladder as recently as this year (because of quash, encore, and fake out, which is a sort of horrifying combo). I don't actually dislike anything in this division much.

I think Dipplin is frankly a genius idea for a pokemon, although its ability needs a buff.

I'm not really a fan of krabby per se, but I'm a fan of crab. Crab crab crab. I think they really captured the essence of crab in krabby's eyes (even though they are unstalked)

I'm a Tapu fan, I think they have cool thematics, and Tapu Koko is probably the best of them. Archeops has a hilarious animation where he flies like a fat man rides a bicycle, and I'm throwing chimecho a bone because I like the concept, and they did accurately represent the power of windchimes in battle. Diglett variants continue to be jokes that don't land, golbat is stupid looking and gloom is disgusting. That rounds out this division!

Claydol is a Jomon Dogu! I went to the national museum in Tokyo and the thing I was most excited to see was the dogu exhibit. Cool guys. Zeraora looks like a mascot for a junior high volleyball team, and is probably just as sticky.
