Speed Materia, First Strike, ATB Boost to immediately place Lustrous Shield and Radiant Ward.

Because yeah, unless you actually grinded or had AP Up linked to it the entire game, you are not going to have a level 2 Elemental.

I beat it. I like it a lot. The combat is phenomenal, but will agree the open exploration zones are the weakest part of the gameplay. In structure I would honestly compare them more to Jedi Fallen Order or Survivor than to an open world, but with less varied environments and platforming options. Everything after the second open zone though is pretty hype.

Story isn't anything special, though there are interesting pieces of lore in all the collectibles you find, similar to a Souls game.

Music 10/10
Eve is undeniably hot.

I definitely want them to learn from this and make a sequel.

Started preloading this game. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing but I was honestly surprised it didn't ask me to make some space on my ps5. Every new release is so big I have to keep deleting games. This is somehow only 30GB.

If you're having trouble, here's some tips. First, DO NOT TRY TO DO THIS WHILE TIFA'S IN HER SWIMSUIT (either one).
But that's the best part.

My tip is: the mini-game will randomly start with L or R and whichever it is, is the only button that will have mash/hold prompts. Pick one side and immediately retry if it starts with the other.

One try you're getting used to the flow of l2 r1 l1 r2. Next try you have to adjust to r2 l1 r1 l2. DON'T DO THAT. Retry and stick to one pattern.

Finished Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide. The story was kinda weak, but boss fights were amazing and spectacular. And honestly, it added a new arena mode that puts Chadley's simulator to shame. This is actually way more fun. The new Eikon abilities are super fun too.

I still don't know how the party is decided for the Sephiroth fight in Remake either. Some said it had to with amount of sidequests, or affinity, or how well you did against the whispers.

I know some people were wondering about the party comp for the final boss. So this run my relationships were (not counting Aerith cus dont think she matters) Barret > Tifa > Red > Yuffie.

Jenova party was with Barret and Yuffie. (Highest and lowest?)
Bahamut Whisper party was Barret, Tifa, Cait Sith.
Elemental Wings phase was Tifa, Red, Yuffie.

I wanna say Cait will always be against Bahamut Whisper and Yuffie against the wings. And the rest depends on affinity.

In my first run which was Tifa > Red > Barret > Yuffie:
Jenova: Tifa and Yuffie (again highest and lowest?)
Bahamut: Tifa, Red, Cait
Wings: Red, Barret, Yuffie

Oof that floor 12 was kinda rough. Managed to get all stars with Acheron/Pela/Sparkle/Bailu against the 2.1 boss. Bailu had her ult up for every betting game so she and Sparkle could tank it lol.

Rebirth is missing a very important qol from Remake regarding sidequests. In Remake when you complete objectives, you get a prompt to immediately warp to the quest giver and complete. I have no idea why this is gone in Rebirth.

Remake also I feel did a good job of setting up the lulls in the main story so that doing sidequests makes sense at that point in time. Like this is the chapter where the story is Tifa has to do errands or you're hanging out with Aerith for a day. In Rebirth, Barret is like "let's go south, far away from Corel"... But a green marker just popped in North Corel... And it heavily involves Barret. So it feels weird to interrupt the msq to go do that side quest.

Basically there is almost never a point in the story where it makes sense that the gang is taking the time to help people out.

It's so funny to me. Everything Dragon's Dogma 2 does wrong, this game does right. And people will never now. Of course ps5 exclusive vs big pc game, it was doomed.

I didn't find Cait as random as in original actually. Here he is more like a Gold Saucer/Shinra employee suspiciously tailing them and they're aware of this, and then is just leading them to the Dustbowl for Dio's request. At no point does it feel like they have just accepeted him as part of the group, but were kinda forced into the Dustbowl situation. Then they make their escape and after going through that together, he finally joins.

Cait Sith section I hated it first time through. But it helps a lot if you understand, while riding the moogle, mash square for magic attacks, hold square for physical. Also while riding the moogle, he dodges by just moving the stick, instead of using circle (which is more of a desperate get away from the moogle dodge)

Managed to get an Atk orb and atk rope with of Izumo with no crit rate but 20+ crit dmg each. I'll take it. Crit rate body piece it is.
