- If it's a match between your favorite song ever and a song you despise, still LISTEN TO BOTH! Votes can and will be disqualified if there is suspicion songs are not being listened to, and you may be discounted for the rest of the contest for repeat offenses.

I'm torn. Kaine is more consistently good to me, but Shining Eyes has higher highs. I really don't like those yeahs for some reason, but I think I can get over it.

Afternoon in Crossbell is refreshing, Astra walkthrough makes me think I'm being yelled at.

Let's Go, Mt. Corel! is also refreshing, but less so because this match up SUCKS

Kain is a pretty melody but it does nothing impressive musically. I guess this must be a super significant song in-game. Maybe the lyrics are the cries of the earth claiming for the prevalence of the human race. Whatever it is, it's not raising the song up. Hell yeah, Dariusburst always finds how to impress me. The great percussion at the beginning, the chorus, this section at 2:00 is so cool too. So much stuff to enjoy from here. Yeah, awesome song. Easy vote.

Ohhh, Crossbell sounds very sweet. I like the use of that flute there. It feels like it mixes many games at once (a VN, Mystery Dungeon and DKC to name some) for a relaxing and unique result. Good job. Alright, about time we got a strong rhythm game song before we closed bracket A. Golly I really dig this percussion at the beginning. The fast parts are pretty good too. Ohhhh this shmupy part around the three minute mark too. This is super awesome, what doesn't go hard by going fast is awesome by itself. Gotta give it to Astra, but damn if Crossbell isn't a great rival too.

I have good feelings about the name Musashi, so let's see what this does. Very nice, lovely and unmistakably JRPG. This song oozes with a hopeful future. The string melody is great and everything just works and sounds pleasant. Nice job, I might save this. Ah yeah, nice synthy thingy. The strings are good company and the section of 1:18 is very interesting. It kinda gives the sensation of a cool excursion and all, yeah. Nice one, I prefer Musashi but this one is good too.

Kai-eh-nay being here is actually a bit of a bummer that the FFXIV version didn't make it, which is close to it with some added dread and wistfulness both, but the original is simple and emotional. I enjoy it, but I won't be upset if Shining Eyes takes it though, Dariusburst is cool to lose myself into for a bit also.

I've made my views about Astra walkthrough's ilk known well enough.

Sort of ambivalent on match 3, but Corel does more interesting things for me somehow. Hamauzu with a rare personal-opinion miss?

The Kaine tracks have always been up there for me, and Salvation's one of the best. Shining Eyes is also good! Wonder if I'd like it more than Kaine if not for my bias from playing Nier.

AiC's fine background music I guess. Nothing I'd care to listen to on its own. Astra's a bit harsher than I'd like, but I still enjoy it.

Aeolic Guardian falls into the same category as AiC, where it's nice background music I'm not interested in on its own. LGMC is awesome though. Love the epic feeling of adventuring it gives off.

The Nier thing is boring but not that bad. 5/10

I keep expecting that I should like these Dariusburst things since they're weird but they're never weird in a way that lands for me and I don't really know why. I couldn't get into this one at all. 4.5/10

Crossbell is perfectly ok. 6/10

Astra walkthrough is kinda fun. I dunno, I like it. 7/10

Aeolic Guardian is decent. 6.5/10

Mt. Core is decent. 6.5/10 I earnestly couldn't really decide which of these to pick.
