truthfully if we're talking about games from critical reception i'm scared at the prospects of palworld swooping in from left field to win since it's pretty inarguably the biggest release this year has seen for better or worse (sure it's early access but i feel like it's not impossible they literally make an exception specifically for it)
Also, Mina the Hollower could be a nominee as well.Does that have a release window? It was delayed from 2023, right?
Is there any interest in Star Wars Outlaws or is the Ubisoft logo scaring everyone awayThere's plenty of interest, but nothing about it looks like it'll be the best game of the year. Or do you disagree?

Man, you guys aren't even trying any more. It's not unreasonable it shows up before December. No release date, sure, but there have been a few signs that at least it's not vaporware. If you want an unreleased indie to swoop down and sweep the awards, that's your candidate...hopium or not.

Party based game, story focus. And kind of turn-based! They both fit neatly under ARPG but then some people consider that a synonym for Diablolike.
it's been in development hell.https://wccftech.com/dragon-age-dreadwolf-has-everyone-at-bioware-really-happy-with-how-it-turned-out/
After one google search for Mina the Hollower...just based on superficial reasons, I don't think a 2-D pixel furry game is going to 'wow' the game awards as a whole, even if the game ends up amazing. Those are negative modifiers. The Shovel Knight pedigree ought to count for something.
https://www.gamesradar.com/dragon-age-4-confirmed-release-date-solas-wishlist-news/It was revealed years ago! Same circumstances as, say, Assassin's Creed Shadows, which was originally revealed years ago, then got a full reveal yesterday with the release date.
Nevermind, seems it's only set to be 'revealed' later this year. Which probably means a 2025 release.
This year's so weak so far with nothing eye popping in the horizon that it might just end up being Rebirth. It's been a great year if you like JRPGs! Also Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
I fee like Bioware goes from reveal to release fairly quickly, but well see!Damn, you're right. Andromeda's reveal was only 2 months before its release.

Shovel Knight doesn't have anywhere near GOTY pedigree. Mina the Hollower would have to be explosively popular to be anywhere except best indie. I don't see it.
