yeah solo was really underrated. Iirc RO did much better box office. RO had that great ending scene , the rest was not good

this is me, I initially was a fan of Rogue One but on rewatch most of it is just boring

I think it was that I really liked RO's final act and that was my final impression, but the majority of the movie is a total bore

I feel like that's the reason anyone likes RO

The first 70% of the movie is so forgettable people don't even think about it, so all that matters is this focused halfish hour chunk.

Donnie Yen's character is extremely fun.

And trying to be fun doesn't make a movie good. Gigli tries to be fun and it's one of the most boring movies ever

Rogue One is saved by the final 45ish minutes, and there are some good scenes before that too but otherwise it's a disjointed mess.

Solo is horribly underrated. It's a fun adventure movie with a lot of charm, as a Star Wars movie should be. The biggest issue was the damn lighting.

i agree. shame like it seemed many people hated it. It did badly at box office. there were like 2 movies planned after that. Wonder why so many movie goers did not like it

It's like you his are saying Saving Private Ryan couldn't be a good movie because it wasn't "fun" enough.

A well made war movie is fantastic. To me it was not only a good war movie, but it existed in a universe I already enjoy.

I didn't need Rogue One to be fun, but I needed it to be at the very least interesting, which it never hits. Solo, opposed to Rogue One, should be fun, and very clearly tries to be, and it hits it well at times too.

Solo is fun despite some extremely stupid shit, so that's what my gut says. RO isn't nearly as stupid but it's so boring until the final act. I'm no war movie expert but I've watched and enjoyed a few, and it just wasn't a good one for most of the runtime. But I haven't seen it since watching Andor, I plan on rewatching it around when S2 drops so I'll see if that's still true.
