Doing a bunch of Die Hards was an inherently bad idea because it has to turn McClane from a relatively normal guy caught in a wild situation into a generic over the top action hero
if Die Hard had to be a franchise, it should have been like Final Fantasy or something where each movie has a new protagonist and theyre just spiritually linked. A series of new people caught in Die Hardesque scenarios
