Can't wait for the comments...I vote Die Hard because a larger percentage of the movies are good.

I'll bite because you didn't mention TLJ or Directors

Star Wars has higher highs and lower lows.
I'd currently be way more excited for a new Die Hard movie than a new Star Wars movie.
Star Wars is more unique and has a lot more excitement as a body of fiction-- lots of great action flicks out there, the world of Star Wars is very cool and unique and you can do so much with it.

Giving it to Star Wars largely on the third point but anyone who just cares about movies and not secondary media I would say should vote Die Hard.

I haven't seen the last Die Hard but I can't imagine any major franchise putting out a bigger steamer than Star Wars 9.
If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

I have not seen it admittedly but I would be very surprised. AotC and TLJ are all time bad movies for me. To say nothing about Rise of Skywalker which I haven't even seen (and Phantom Menace is pretty bad too). Being the worst is a tall order.

You know how Rise of Skywalker has a terrible story but is technically competent with good performances? What if we took out the second half of that sentence.

Star Wars is a better franchise by virtue of being a thing that actual warrants having multiple entries

Doing a bunch of Die Hards was an inherently bad idea because it has to turn McClane from a relatively normal guy caught in a wild situation into a generic over the top action hero

if Die Hard had to be a franchise, it should have been like Final Fantasy or something where each movie has a new protagonist and theyre just spiritually linked. A series of new people caught in Die Hardesque scenarios

stronger in what way.
financially is a bloodbath for star wars.
cultural impact is also a bloodbath for star wars.

die hard has a better trilogy and hasn't had as much time to shit the bed as star wars so i like it more but it's not "stronger."

i like die hard way more but had to vote star wars since theres no real sane metric you could call die hard a 'stronger' franchise
