I ordered an Xbox controller on January 22nd, it was supposed to arrive last Friday, the 26th. Got delayed then was expected Tuesday the 30th. Hasn't been any updates since. Can't cancel the order or initiate a replacement. Tracking says "delayed in transit" on Amazon, I tried punching in the same tracking number at USPS' website and it says there that it's actually awaiting pre-shipment.
I've decided to put my fears behind me. I'm not going back.

I would contact Amazon customer service and try to talk to somebody about it. They'll probably send you another one.

This is what I had to do with a kitchen scale I got in October. Interestingly, I ended up getting BOTH scales - the first ended up arriving in January - and when I tried to contact them about it, they essentially just said, "Not our problem!"

Yeah you'll either get extra stuff or they'll give you an account credit for the inconvenience, just gotta make the call.

I feel like I've heard this general story a few times and almost every time it ends with the person ending up with 2 of whatever they ordered somehow.

Yeah, if the original arrives after they send you a replacement, they generally let you keep both.

I've found them ask to return the 2nd one but I guess it depends. Either way, their support is very quick and easy so always go for that if anything is late or broken. I think they just auto approve any requests and throw some credit at you, unless you're a frequent complainer.

I got two sets of ice trays once because I had no idea where the first one went for a week and they just sent another one. Both ended up arriving the same day. I reckon the first set got delivered to the wrong address.
Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered!
