Second half of the season.

Time for the in-season tou---what do you mean it already happened?

Also these were my hot takes/predix before the season, let's see how they are holding up!

-Suns win 65+ games, Booker has a case for MVP, and Suns win the title
-(Maybe not so much any more with the news of Adams)-Grizz only make the play-in and miss the playoffs
-Knicks stumble into the conference finals(and lose) after the Bucks or Celtics fall in the second or first round.
-Magic not only make into the playoffs- but make it the second round of the playoffs.
-Pelicans finish with a better record than the Lakers.

Suns have been rough don't get me wrong, but they are starting to put it together. Who knew the more games players play with each other the more fun it is to watch! Suns have a crazy road stretch coming up so I think that'll kind of tell us how they are overall. They also have the hardest schedule left in the league I think. I still think Booker gets some MVP love, doesn't win though.

Grizz was right on track, but worse.
Knicks may not even stumble in!
Still holding strong on this Magic Predix.
Lakers are ISChampions, but lool Lakers.

yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness
Personally I like SGA as the midseason MVP

Donny: Are they gonna hurt us, Walter?
Walter: No, Donny. These men are cowards.
So uhh Embiid had 70

KAT has 53 in the 3rd quarter

Suns are no longer are rolling over and dying from 20 point+ deficits. Also KD back to back 40 point games.

Suns get another comeback win. I would rather they just win the whole game but I'm loving the fourth quarter execution lately

Holy cow, that is shocking news in some respect, but at the same time not terribly surprising for anyone closely following the Bucks. This was always a questionable hire, rumored to be Giannis' choice over the more well established coaches the Bucks wanted to go with. Griffin himself openly admitted to feeling imposter syndrome when taking over the job. I mean, I appreciate the honesty, but maybe keep it to yourself bud.

His inexperience showed immediately when he tried to plug his defensive scheme into the Bucks even though it didnt work with several of the player's strengths. He thankfully abandoned it a few games into the season. Possible dysfunction within his ranks showed even before the season started when a respected assistant coach quizically resigned right before the start of the season.

I think it was just very clear to everyone in the organization that this was a win now team and Griffin was not the right guy to be captaining such a ship. I'm glad they made this decision and hope Doc Rivers or whoever it is that becomes their next coach can help push these players to the next level. Specifically Lilliard...who we are all still waiting to get hot.
Don't mind me. I'm just here for the contest.
Reportedly Giannis "lost faith" in him. I'm firmly on the train of giannis having too much power now.

Good luck protecting those 3-1 leads in the playoffs with Doc

lol, I think the nail in the coffin for Griffin is that he was touted as a defensive coach, but the Bucks defense has been garbage as of late and as a whole this season. I don't think he ever really won over the locker room or got the players to buy into his plans, assuming he even had any plans that were worthy of following.

When you have a team fighting for a championship, you don't hire a first year coach like that. This was a bizarre odyssey that I'm glad is over. They need to hire a veteran guy who can take control of a locker room and who knows how to deal with opinionated superstars.
Don't mind me. I'm just here for the contest.
It's been a while and I'm probably forgetting details on specifics, but I'm reminded a lot of the firing of David Blatt by the Cavs in 2016. They had an even better record at the time of 30-11, but it was similar deal. Lebron was done with him so it was over.

Blatt at least got a full season before that, but yeah, LeBron literally checked out on him and that was that.

Doc Rivers is to basketball as Mike McCarthy is to football.

Excellent at getting his team to the postseason consistently but unable to do anything other than choke once there, aside from one fluke of a championship.

You'll just keep going. Not out of any desire for good or evil, but just because you think you can - And because you "can"... You "have to".
Ugly, but a win is a win. I'll take any win especially on the road in back to back nights. Even if both of the teams are terrible teams we should have whomped.

embiid does seem legitimately different this year. gotta hope that the role players just disappear as always, and that al horford is still that dude against philly. but i'm def more worried about philly than milwaukee.

It's kind of wild how quickly KAT scoring 62 became old news

Which is sad because it was a fun story, since it was clear Anthony Edwards and the coach weren't happy about it

Luka needs to get a title first, or even at least a finals appearance. He isn't anywhere near Dirk, let alone MJ.

Funny thing is, I don't think Luka will ever reach the finals with Dallas. Unless they make some big time changes. West is too crazy, and probably will be for the foreseeable future.

Luka sitting out against us. Again. That's multiple times this year already.

MJ would never. I don't feel Dirk did that sort of thing either!
