Yeah I also prefer keeping Insight as high as possible since it makes the game more interesting and fun.
this is a bizarre take because the main thing it changes is making Nightmare of Mensis and Nightmare Frontier more difficult. the two areas that I see people complaining about THE MOST when discussing Bloodborne. well, if you find the idea of making the most hated areas in the game more annoying/difficult as more fun, I won't judge you for that.

personally I prefer to spend all of my echoes at the start of the game on blood vials, when vials are cheap, and levels are less impactful. this prevents me from ever needing to grind during the run. but this is coming from the point of view of someone who has beaten the game many times, so I'm sure other people feel differently. I definitely noticed that new players are incredibly resistant to the idea of buying blood vials in this game until they are absolutely backed into a corner and have 0 vials left, and then complain about the grinding. I guess the +1 damage they got from leveling up, increasing their damage from 250 to 251, was really important.
