I love how Frost Street builds up with the different instrumentations of the same melody. The guitar adds some intensity to the wintry sounds while still keeping it fairly subdued and cozy. Moonlight Concert is one of my favorite songs left, it truly feels like a fairy tale with the soft vocals and bounding rhythm. Great start to the retirement round!

NE Manon St. is the Manons version of Miracle on 34th Street. Its basically the same movie expect the ending has the children of the world delivering Manon Santa a towering stack of pizzas.

Don't ask why Round 3 of all rounds is where I decided to have writeups and no other round. Anyways, it ends today with at least at one point my favourite song of all time, and one that I'd say is still pretty deserving of that title. Beautiful, emotional, strong, dramatic, a perfect culmination to a game that means a lot to me. I'm sure a lot may say a lot of these things about To Far Away Times, mind you. Like I've said, it's a really nice and also nostalgic-feeling credits theme, definitely my favourite CT song that I've heard. But it's in tough today. Nice to get a cool theming for the last match this round, though. Hopefully I can get one more song I care about into the retirement round after a tough pill to swallow a couple days ago.

Anyways, neither R4 match is particularly close today. Purple Town is still cool and Moonlight Concert's folky melody has really grown on me in spite of the weird transitions.

Very strong preferences for the retirement matches, so I'm hoping round 4 goes off to a good start for me!

Was hoping to post my rankings starting today, but I only just started continuing my progress on rankings earlier today lol. As of posting, I'm at 55/64 songs ranked that were in as of round 3, and I hope to finish that later tonight, re-listen to everything tomorrow to see if the list needs any adjustment, and then start posting my rankings in tomorrow's thread. As a preview, today's retirement matches with my current progress are 5/55 (Purple Town) vs. 40/55 (Northeast Frost Street) and 10/55 (Moonlight Concert) vs. 39/55 (Azure Archipelago).
