#OCTOPATHsweep. Why does Banbard consistently have a shit lead instrument and why did the S.S.H. version not get in. FITF is one of the weaker Sonic vocal songs out there, and in a world where both this and What I'm Made of... got into the contest this shouldn't have been the one to move on (especially when it beat Moonlight fucking Canyon round 1 excuse me). -{EDGE OF THE FUTURE} is kinda cool. POP TEAM BATTLE is a cool song but why does it go on for so damn long. GOLDEN RULE's Ar tonelico-esque vocals are not it for me. Okay day. #OCTOPATHsweep

Hopefully Freedom puts up a respectable showing!
Match 3's tracks are very similar, I enjoy parts of both and am put off by others. I like the first half of POP and the second half of GOLDEN.

If Edge of the Future started around 4:15 and cut almost everything before, I'd probably rate it much higher. I know these 13 Sentinels tracks are all phase mixes so maybe that's unfair? But I do like the last third significantly more.

Just noticed the Chrono Trigger samples in the first section of POP TEAM BATTLE, not just the main melody but the World Revolution bells too. Nice touch.

Maybe I should say something positive about every song I don't vote for.

They Who Govern Reason has great violin and is definitely one of the better Octopath battle themes. Unfortunately, it's against Banbanger. Strong match.

Fly in the Freedom is great. Definitely amongst the better songs from SA2. I love the intro of -{EDGE OF THE FUTURE} a lot. Probably more than the actual drop at 4:06. Orchestration is a bit iffy at spots, but it's still a pretty great track. Close match.

Both songs in this match are really cool. POP TEAM BATTLE has a very neat progression from a chiptune to a modern synth track. Golden Rule has the neat vocals along with the great synths. Another hard match to decide on.

Super strong day again.

i was expecting match 1 to be closer but my headache addled brain took one look (listen?) at the lead for banbard and was like "haha ... no!" i still don't know just how strongly i feel about this song. it is a strange one... if my head improves before deadline i will relisten.

edge of the future starts out so STRONG. that intro is phenomenal but man it does lose me a little as it goes on. same with pop team battle. both tracks are solid, but their opponents are " tighter " to me. god, fly in the freedom is just so good. happy to see best girl rouge get some attention at least.

I much prefer the first half of EDGE OF THE FUTURE to the second half. It basically repeats the same motif once with high electronic sounds and once with an orchestra, both of which work. My favorite is the intro motif which transforms from atmospheric to dire when its repeated at 2:17.
