Charon I can probably fetch your list if you want.
So Smile was pretty good, sort of a mix of It Follows & The Ring. I'd rank it around mid-tier. A bit disappointing use of generic tropes (jump scares, the detective, the unbelieving fiance) but when the film leaned heavily into the psychological side I was really digging it. The birthday party scene was so messed up and sad and scary. That was great. (Has anything good ever happened at a horror movie birthday party?) Sosie Bacon's performance as a whole was great. Didn't like the ending too much but overall I enjoyed the movie. The fiance was the worst cast person I have ever seen in a movie.
I barely count The Menu as horror, honestly. Like it's one of my favorite movies of the year, easy. Absolutely love it. But it really just feels like a dark comedy, because there don't really seem to be a ton of horror elements in it.I think it was definitely marketed as being horror and definitely has some very strong elements of it

Hype
I think it was definitely marketed as being horror and definitely has some very strong elements of it(I mean, almost every character dies and several die in violent or disturbing ways). It's horror enough that I would specifically not recommend it to someone squeamish
