Truly one of the toughest weeks of my life. Appreciate the time you have w your loved ones coz when it's over it will feel like it wasn't enough.

Yeah dude it was so fast. On Tuesday night when I left, everything was fine and then Wednesday afternoon all hell broke loose. Then Thursday morning it was over.

yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness

I've mostly been holding it together and my support system has been great. Only a few real breakdowns, but we'll see if I can keep it going through the funeral this week.

Damn, I was really hoping for good news. Sorry this happened and I hope you can at least look back on the time you had with her fondly. I know it isn't a replacement for what's been lost, but things will get better over time. Sorry again for your loss and wishing the best for you and your family.

I'm uplifted by the fact that over the past two/three months I took a lot more time to hang out with her than in recent times. I went to the casino with her for a day. Went out to lunches. I sat and watched the entire presidential debate with her and had our own version of the debate right after that was fairly productive. Sat and watched the election results with her.

It's small things like that but I can't recommend it enough if you've got your parents here still. Just make the time and do it even if it seems tough to do with everything going on in your life.

Holy shit man, can't imagine what you're going through. I had a dream my mom passed away recently and that alone was causing me pain for like a week. Can't fathom it actually happening. I wish you the best in getting through this.

How old was she? I hope she lived a long, fulfilling life.

As someone who lost both parents over the last 8 years, I'll second this. Don't go Cat's Cradle on them (unless you have a shitty relationship.)
