Thinking of making the jump into VR.

Sort of. I used it to play on my TV and it would work 99% of the time. If I played too extensively, like more than a few hours, then the picture would start to fizzle out, just like this. When I sent the Vive back in, I had like a 70/30 feeling it was my laptop and not the headset, but figured the easier one to check was the headset. I cleaned the port and it was still doing it.

I told my parents this a few hours ago, since they actually decided to buy it for me with some of my dad's retirement bonus money, and she replied with, "well I guess we'll just get you a new computer too."

That is not at all a solution I wanted to jump to, but she said she already spent $8500 on my sister so I'm still nowhere near that. Couldn't argue with that, so I'm now on my way home with a desktop PC with nearly identical specs. If this doesn't work, I may end up killing somebody.

Wow yeah that's a solution I guess! Hopefully it works out for you!

I fucking hate you guys for recommending Waltz of the Wizard first. I spent like a half hour in the starting room just fucking around with everything, which was great fun, but then I went into the actual game and about had a heart attack. I was worried the sound wasn't loud enough, and then a guy came at me and laughed so loud I thought I was gonna really die.

Also, I killed the first guy by tossing an explosive barrel at him, because I didn't even realize there were weapons in the first room.

I told you to play Robot Repair first in the Lab VR! So don't blame me!

Beat Saber is awesome, but I looked up how to get better scores, and now that I'm super emphasizing every swing, I get tired after like 4 songs.

Been almost 2 years!

I've been super hooked on Beat Saber mostly, but I did some more Waltz, and tried some Lab and PokerStars.

Got through 29 waves in Archery, good for top 100,000 which I am going to pretend is an accomplishment.

Then I sat down at my first table in PokerStars, got my first hand, and realized that from where I was sitting down, I couldn't actually reach my cards because they were inside my sofa, got embarrassed and quit the game.

Some real solid experiences taking place here.

Glad to hear you're enjoying VR! I'd still recommend the Budget Cuts demo on steam. I mean obviously the whole game is fun but just play the demo!
