Thinking of making the jump into VR.

Sort of. I used it to play on my TV and it would work 99% of the time. If I played too extensively, like more than a few hours, then the picture would start to fizzle out, just like this. When I sent the Vive back in, I had like a 70/30 feeling it was my laptop and not the headset, but figured the easier one to check was the headset. I cleaned the port and it was still doing it.

I told my parents this a few hours ago, since they actually decided to buy it for me with some of my dad's retirement bonus money, and she replied with, "well I guess we'll just get you a new computer too."

That is not at all a solution I wanted to jump to, but she said she already spent $8500 on my sister so I'm still nowhere near that. Couldn't argue with that, so I'm now on my way home with a desktop PC with nearly identical specs. If this doesn't work, I may end up killing somebody.
