just use regular bread - and if you're using regular bread, don't use two bottoms? that's ridiculous.

Hamburger buns are often molded so the tops/bottoms are almost exactly the same. Bagels/english muffin/etc have much more variation in the slices so it's a bit more of a difficult question.

it is literally impossible to tell the top of an english muffin from the bottom

or is this comparing one muffin to another muffin?
