34 y/o Grinch, Samuel Antone Johnson from Arizona burned down a 40 FOO, $40,000 CHRISTMAS TREE!!
He was found nearby admitting to setting fire to the Merry Main Christmas Tree with a book of matches as police said they don't know a motive yet..
It was the focal point of Mesa's annual Christmas celebrations and now he's been charged with 2 felonies, suspicion of arson and criminal damage
They are now trying to quickly find a replacement to erect for the rest of the holiday season but they won't let this dimish the holiday spirit
