Always thought this to be an interesting discussion. While all of these characters have made impacts. They're all relatively even playing fields. Still torn between Crash Drake and Kratos myself.

The term mascot brings to mind a big suit someone can dress up in like a sports mascot.
So Crash.

My first thought was Crash, even though he's not very relevant now.

Wanted to say Crash but he's been on other competitors' systems...went with Kratos.

PS1 was Crash, PS2 was Jak, PS3 onwards is Drake. I think Sweet Tooth should be in the poll though too.

Well I mean, the closest thing to an official answer is Toro & Kuro, the Sony mascots. Although they don't have as much exposure as these options.

It's definitely not Crash, at least not anymore it isn't. The most mascot-like would maybe be Sackboy? But Playstation doesn't really have a mascot (other than Toro in Japan). They just have a ton of great characters and you could realistically point to any of them as a notable image of PlayStation.

Kratos due to his frequent guest character appearances. He's probably the single most important piece of connective tissue in the connected video game universe as a result.

Although it should be Spectre, because Ape Escape should be Sony's flagship series, and they're fools for not treating it with more respect.

and for what it's worth, I think Kratos is probably the most iconic original character Sony has overall. He's typically the first choice for things like crossovers, and definitely one of the first to come to mind when you think "Sony characters"
