22 y/o Genevieve Loiselle from Ontario, Canada, a waitress and FEMINIST was told by her female manager to wear a BRA while at work..and now he's OUTRAGED as she said it's a "violation of my rights as a person to dictate my undergarments"
She works at East Side Mario's and said "When i arrived to work tonight, i was called into my manager's office. She firmly stated that i must start wearing a bra to work. As a feminist, i made a personal choice not to wear one. She replied that it was part of my uniform. As if you would impose servers to wear at thong. No you can't do that, it's undergarments. I felt judged from the start. i can clearly see your nipples and that they are pierced. I felt judged, harassed and ashamed. I asked her if she would force a man to wear a bra if he had "breasts and she said no, it's not the same thing. People don't look at women's bodies the same way they look at men's bodies"....
Genevive said that she's also SMALLER CHESTED and felt comfortable not wearing one.
She said "i'm not prancing my breasts around. I understand if i had a see through shirt, but my shirt's black and it's all the way up to my neck. I really don't feel that comfortable here"
There's so many things you could do - wear a tank top, wear formalwear stickers, etc. to keep your boss happy. Their top concern is how this is coming across to the general public, and you poking out of your black uniform shirt on a cold day is not a good look.
