Which of these ideas would you be most interested in?

I'm in the mood to do some kind of bracket tournament, help me decide. Here's a few ideas I'm considering, and feel free to suggest other stuff.

1. Best Comic Book Movie/TV Show
- I ran this contest once before, any movies or TV shows based on comics would be eligible. I'm pretty sure The Dark Knight won last time, so I'd leave it out to make the contest less predictable.

2. Best Beatles Song
- Been listening to them a lot lately and I thought this might be a fun music oriented contest.

3. Best Adapted Character
- This idea is for a contest involving characters who started in one medium, and were then adapted to a different medium. For example, The Joker from The Dark Knight movie or The Joker in Arkham Asylum would be eligible, but not the original version in the comics.

4. Best Cover Art
- Covers for anything would be eligible, video games, albums, DVDs, books, etc.

5. Best Amusement/Theme Park Ride
- Just what it sounds like, any amusement/theme park ride around the world would be eligible.

Both of those would probably be popular tournaments, but I'm not much more interested in waifus than wrestling.

how about "best bro" (bro being a non-gender-exclusive term obv) or "best eternal rival" or something like that
or even "best companion on a cross-country odyssey to find God"

but that kind of thing is better suited for a writeup project

Please please please please don't do more cover art stuff. I keep wanting to do cover art and pushing it back because of YOUUUUUUUUUU.

If you are dying to do a tournament, I think you should go with a comic-related one, like the first choice.

I know cover art has kind of become my thing, but I'd be happy to see you do it. Nothing wrong with having a ranking topic and a contest at the same time.

This wound up being close. I'll try to decide soon.

Leaning no on comic movies/shows because it has the least votes and I've done it before. And probably no on the Beatles because I thought that one would do much better. Not sure about the others yet.

Edit: Maybe I spoke too soon on The Beatles.

I'm thinking Adapted Character has the best chance of getting a good amount of participation. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether the idea is too vague. I wouldn't want characters appearing in licensed games that are basically the same exact take on a character, such as in South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Just say that as the host, you have final say on whether a nominated character lives up to the spirit of the tournament and therefore will be the sole arbiter on inclusion when it comes to matters as such.

Sorry, didn't mean to disregard your earlier post. When I thought about it more, I decided that one might not get much interest, since there could be plenty of rides that most users haven't done depending on what parks they've been to. But I'll keep it in mind for the future.

At the rate the nominations topic is going, I may wind up coming back to one of these other ideas. So tough to predict what's going to get participation.
