Hochul has said for months she's not raising taxes and all of Mamdani's policies explicitly call for being funded by raising taxes. There's a reason he's refused to endorse Hochul even after she endorsed him. He likely wants her replaced because otherwise a lot of his campaign promises are dead on arrival.
