I think Wario and Waluigi are not related to Mario and Luigi? Nor are they related to each other?
At most Wario and Mario just knew each other as children?
And Waluigi is... just some guy that teams up with Wario?
I dunno, Mario lore is ambiguous at best lol.

Anyway my answer is Luigi.

And I think in Japan they portray the Mario Bros as Italian while they portray the Wario Bros as German.

I like (hate) how Nintendo felt the need to say Mario and Peach aren't romantically involved, like that added nothing positive to the series and ruined people's fantasies.
