One Ukrainian officer told The Atlantic that the strikes deliberately focus on oil infrastructure because Russia can sustain extremely high levels of casualties and losses in human lives. They dont care about peoples lives. It is painful for them to lose money.
Stuff like this is gonna be hard for Russia to get over, they're already starting to limit their exports on diesel.
