The left does have power but it seems they often don't use it. Boycott companies supporting Trump seems like it would work.

Airlines helping deport.

Hard to gauge tbh. Maybe it was pressure more on federal power trying to dictate what could or could not be allowed than outright Disney boycott.

And honestly, all sides seems to be fed up with Disney at some level.

What I don't get it is that Disney could have just said that Jimmy Kimmel is just losing viewership to stop his airing but they HAD to bring politics on it so...

Something to note is that they also likely faced internal pressure from talent who, besides being personal acquaintances of Kimmel, were questioning their working relationship. It also helps that they have powerful unions on their sides.

Boycotting Apple would be tough just because too many normies don't give a shit about their ethics and there are too many other tech giants doing the same unethical shit

Meta would be impossible because of how many people rely on WhatsApp as a dedicated SMS/MMS tool and how many mentally-ill boomers are addicted to Facebook

Twitter would be impossible because too many people have to have a constant stream of dumb shit beamed into their eyeballs at all times present

I agree, although most people don't even know Sinclair exists , let alone which stations are owned by them. For that reason, getting a boycott against Sinclair off the ground is going to be much more difficult than doing one against a giant and obvious target like Disney.

He was never cancelled, just suspended indefinitely.

It could have been a case of simply lifting the suspension so people could go back to work, caving due to protests outside of Disney studios, D+ cancellations, a combination, who knows besides the suits at Disney.

Disney is an easy one to boycott. Cancel sub and trips. It also helps a lot to have focused efforts. If everyone is just boycotting whatever is convenient to to them, then the lost for each individual company is not as much.

I think Sinclair should be the next target, but that one is tough because they have so many different sponsors. You can not watch their channels, but younger people don't even watch TV.

I do my part in boycotting. I deleted X, Meta, cancelled my Prime subscription, and as a Mass local, am planning to boycott Market Basket as well.

I believe in the power of numbers and we'd have a shit ton more control of things if everyone else did the same.
